"Hi, I'm a new student. I was wondering if I could have my schedule?" I asked the secretary at my new, and overwhelming school. I have just moved from Miami, to London. I can't say I'm exactly excited to live here. I had to leave all my friends and my boyfriend back home. He wanted to keep things long distance, but that has a reputation of ending quickly and terribly.

"Of course, love! You are Natalie, the lady from America?" A sweet, middle aged woman asked me.

"That would be me!" I replied, a little too enthusiastic.

"It's nice to meet you. Here you are, and I got someone to help you, he is in some of your classes," she told me, "here he comes now!"

"Hi, I'm Louis," a handsome boy said as he shook my hand. He was very attractive, but had an odd style. He wore red jeans that were rolled up just above his ankles, and wore a white t shirt with thin blue stripes. His eyes were a stunning blue grey, and his chocolate brown hair pushed up to a quiff.

"Natalie. It's nice to meet you," I said, slightly blushing.

"Shall we?" He asked, with a smile.

"Of course," I added, imitating his British accent. He let out a silent laugh as he held the door to the office open for me.

"This is Mr. Monroe's class, he teaches biology," Louis explained as we walked into the classroom. This was the last class of the day, and I was exhausted. But it was fun talking to him. He loves to good off and make jokes.

"Okay, okay, take your seats everyone," Mr. Monroe stopped as soon as we made eye contact.

"And who is this?" He asked me.

"Umm, I'm Natalie Joyner. New student," I said trying to act casual. It was very awkward because everyone was staring at me.

"Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't realize! You are from the states, correct?" He wondered.

"Yep..." I said, a little annoyed. A lot of people have asked me that today.

"Wonderful! Well anyways, take your seat please," my new teacher stated. I noticed the only seat open was next to a girl with long, brown, wavy hair, and wore loads of makeup.

After about 30 minutes into the class, I saw the girl next to me pass me a note. It read: 'why don't you get you and your ugly American family out of this city. No one likes you. Matter of fact, we all hate you!'

My eyes started to water. Why would she say this? I haven't even gone to this school for a full day and she is already sending me hate! Louis glanced at me from across the room as a tear slid down my face and I clenched my fist.

"What's wrong?" Louis mouthed to me.

"Mr. Tomlinson, one more outburst, and you will be spending the afternoon in detention!" Mr. Monroe yelled at Louis.

After the bell rung, i went outside to wait for my mom to pick me up. I have my license, but my parents cannot afford to buy me a car right now, so I'm stuck with my mom picking me up and dropping me off. I then saw Louis run out of the school towards me.

"Natalie, you forgot your math book," he said as he handed it to me.

"Thank you! But anyways, do you want to sit with me while I wait for my mom?" I asked desperately.

"I would, but I have Drama Club to go to. I'll see you tomorrow!" He said, kissed my cheek, then ran back into the school. Drama? He doesn't seem like the acting type.

I have been waiting for my mom to pick me up for the past hour. I have texted her and called her constantly, but no answer. Just as I started to get really worried, I saw Louis walking to his car.

"Lou!" I screamed, regretting it. I think I scared him, he probably jumped a foot off the ground.

"Nattie, what are you still doing here?" I smiled at the nickname he gave me.

"I think my mom forgot to pick me up," I said, sounding upset.

"Want a ride?"
