Chapter 2:Playing God?..

I awoke with a jolt. I gasped at the pain. My eyes barely started to gain back my vision and all I could see is the white ceiling. I felt sweat bead down my neck. My whole body was in pain and I couldn't remember why. Trying to recall what had last happened I tried to jump up. Only I couldn't. My leg was stuck in a cast and my torso was bandaged up very tightly. I turned my head to try to see what was around me. I wasn't in my room of course. I was in a hospital. I choked back a sob and closed my eyes. Destiny, oh god. This is my stupid fault. And stupid Rene'.

"You rang." I heard his voice and was about to scream when he clamped his hand onto my mouth. "I came here for a reason...your parents are away. Your mom is down in the cafeteria and well your dad is stuck at home. So I want to make this quick and not catch any body's attention." I nodded.

"Good now-"

"Why didn't you save her? Why didn't you let me go?" I didn't dare look at him. I knew he was like that man. He could have stopped him if he wanted to. Rene' stood quiet. I couldn't get that image of Destiny out of my head. She was everything to me specially now since I needed her the most and I couldn't even save her.

"You couldn't do anything Amara." nothing surprised me at the moment. My pray has been answered. Vampires are real. And one had taken my friend.

"Are you reading my mind now." I said it with out any emotion. I couldn't feel. I lost her. I lost him. And all because of how selfish I was.

"Stop pitying yourself. Do you think Destiny would want you to be like this." I scowled and then looked at him.

" You know nothing of my best friend!" He just looked at me without saying a word. I clenched my fists, " What is it that you want you asshole." I heard him sigh and I heard a chair move closer to my bed.

"You know our secret." I nodded," Yes no shit sherlock. Now get to the point or I swear to God that I will find a way to kill you and that man." he laughed at me. Only there wasn't any hint of humor in it at all.

"You! Please, do you see how you ended up in the hospital? And that man wasn't even using all of his strength." He irked me. I was so angry I couldn't speak out loud.

'Then why did you let it get that far! She didn't deserve to die! And you let him push me around! You stupid stupid boy!'

I knew he would have heard my thoughts. He sighed again this time he put his hand in hair.

"I couldn't save her. And you. You had to go through that. You remember what he was talking about right. How he kept hearing about you? Why do you think?" I was baffled. Rene' had the power to stop all of this from happening and all he could say is he couldn't interfere!

"Did you even hear what I'm saying!" I groaned," Yes I remember what he said. Now continue your confusing story so you could be out of my sight." he ignored my insult and continued.

"Well you are becoming known to us for some reason. I don't know exactly why, but by the way you are acting it seems like you wanted for us to exist." I thought back to all the prays and wishes of how I wanted them to exist and I become one.

"I can't believe why you would want to become like us... Any way that man will do everything in his power to get you. Only he likes to play games. He wanted to get under your skin. That's why he killed her." I shook my head. It doesn't make any sense how would my name become so known for no reason.

"Your leaving something out." He got up from the chair and moved to the window. " I am but you are going to have to find out on your own I can't tell you anything really. Only you are suppose to know about us. Everyone is going to find out about you and come after you. To either kill you or take you as their own. Your supposed to be a very powerful vampire you know that?" I just let him talk. His voice seemed so dazed.
