Chapter 6 Part 1

I walked down the stairs until I saw Darelle standing in front of the stair case.

" where do you think youre going??" he asked me

I looked at him for a while afraid. but I remembered what Bruno told me. he said. don't live your life running away from your fears. you have to face them.

" I got him" Bruno started

but I stopped him.

" no. Im not gonna be afraid this time" I told him as I handed him the bags I was carrying in my hands.

I continued down the stairs. I was afraid but I knew I had to be brave.

I finally reached Darelle.

" so you still running from me with your little boyfriend??" he asked me laughing at me

" your words don't hurt me anymore Darelle" I said

" how about this??" he asked me and then he slapped me in the face so hard

it hurt a lot. but I didn't show it I just laughed. then came Bruno.

Bruno pushed darelle and darelle was still laughing, but I interrupted it.

I walked over to them and I grabbed Bruno by the wrists and I pulled him out of harms way.

" its ok Bruno. ive got this." I said as he backed up to the side

I went back up to Darelle.

" mm hmm. Darelle, I know exactly whats going on" I said to him

" No you don't!! you don't know nothing about me!!" he yelled in my face

" yes I do darelle! I know everything about you!! I know that you are a coward that is too scared to admit that the reason that he is so bitter and selfish is because he is hurt and torn up on the inside and he doesn't wanna say that he is. so he takes his anger out on everybody else!! just because he is upset!! and I know darelle you may think I don't but I do!!" I screamed leaving him speechless

he started to cry

" yeah! you feel those tiny liquid drops passing your cheek??!! yeah its called crying!! and that's the way you would leave me every single day after you put me down darelle!!" I screamed

" look-" he cried

" no you look! you have been such a jerk to me my whole life! and now is the time for you to get what you deserve!! so you are gonna listen to me!!" I cried in rage

" do you have any idea how much pain you put me through??" I lifted the back of my shirt up and I showed him the bruise he left me " that's you!!" I yelled.

I put my shirt back down and I turned back around.

" you see this" I asked as I pointed up my index finger.

I took it and I wiped it under my eye and all around. I pointed to my bruise that he had left me.

" that right there is also you!!" I screamed

then I got closer to his face and made him look up and I pointed to my lip

" look!! this?? do you see this bust in my lip darelle?? huh?? do you see this?? yeah I wonder who could've put that there!! it was you!!" I yelled

I lifted my pants leg up and I lifted my leg up where there was a huge scar.

" yeah remember this day?? when you got a glass vase and you threw it at my leg?? because I told dad that you were the one that stole his hard earned money?? remember that?? yeah I still have the scar!!" I yelled

" Im sorry" he said crying hard.

" yeah you sit here and you think about how sorry you are. or how none of this wasn't your fault." I walked off and Bruno followed me speechless

he opened the door for me and I was about to walk out but I had something to do before I left.

I walked over to darelle.

" oh and you wanna know if that hurt??" I said to him

" huh. not a bit." I waled off a bit and turned back around

" here' I threw the keys to the house.

" good luck finding a place to stay. when you get evicted in............. a month?? ha ha. bye darelle" I said I left and I shut the door behind me
