Hey guys please bear with my constant change of tone I'm still trying to figure which I like best :)

Archer:

I've been staring at Lucas for hours, watching his chest rise and fall as his veins darken with toxin. Unable to feel any emotion other than guilt as I sit idly by. What is more frustrating is the guilt I feel is because i want to leave him to find Suri. I clench my fists, tightly. It's all I can do to prevent myself from losing it. I never should have sent them off alone. Sending him off to play protector had in turn signed his death warrant. And now Suri was gone and there was not a damn thing I could do about it. Not. A. Damn. Thing.

"Dammit!"

I roared, rocketing out of my seat I slammed my fists into the cabin wall with more force than I have used in a long, long time. The panels splintered in a cloud of dust leaving me to stare through the gaping hole that would now expose the inside of this room to the elements. But I didn't care. Breaking something, anything even if it was the bones of my own hands, helped me feel even the slightest amount of pain was better than nothing. I watched in regret as the blood dried and my skin knitted knowing I couldn't indulge in the sting for long before I'd heal fully. I'd failed them.

My chest ached with loss as I turned back to face my brother. He looked so peaceful. It had been over two hours now since his last convulsion. It wasn't good. It meant the toxin had consumed the muscles that were now weak and no longer able to fight it. The calm way in which he lay there, his breaths short and shallow I knew it would only be a matter of time. There was no doubt Lucas was a fighter. I only hoped he could hold out long enough for the others to find some answers and soon.

A gust of air escaped my lungs and I rubbed my hands up over my face in frustration. Locking my fingers together behind my head I paced the floor, stretching my neck back so that my eyes are peering at the ceiling. My mind wandered to Suri. I know she's alive I can feel it. My eyes drop to the shattered phone on the floor at just the thought of her. I'd used every resource available trying to gather information on her but each and every link had come to a dead end. It's like she was hidden away from the world until she arrived here at Pagans Wood.

What the fuck was I missing?

The door opened pulling me from my thoughts as Darwin stepped through. His dark hair was drenched with sweat as though he had been running a marathon. His eyes were almost as dark as the shadow that took shape around his jaw.

"The bitch must have known we'd come looking for her - I couldn't find her or any of her stuff anywhere." He huffed out with a level of annoyance I understood all too well. I cracked my neck to the side hoping to relax my strained muscles. I'd made it clear that finding her was a priority but I had a pretty good idea where she would be. "If she has sided with Fallon she'll be at the Solstice tonight."

Darwin eyes me with a knowing look.

"You know it's a trap right?"

"Yes," I reply bluntly as I turn away from him and step towards the cabin window. I can feel the concern ebbing off him in waves "But what choice do we have."

"Shit," He mumbles, cursing as he drops down in front Lucas who is still motionless.

The last thing I want to do is risk the lives of anyone else but I can't leave her there I won't. I don't understand the twisted way it makes me feel but it's the only way I can explain it as a small growl emanates from my chest. Just one hair, he harms one hair on her head and I will tear that motherfucker to pieces!

"So what are we going to do? He says, with more determination now as he gazes upon our helpless brother.

"I need to find out why Fallon wants her." I scrub my face with my hands trying to draw my mind away from the only place it wants to be.
