Bryce POV

Hey, I'm Bryce. I'll just skip to the "get-to-know-me" part 'cause I think its not really necessary and kinda boring as well.

I am the quiet type here actually my outside appearance is really silent..truth is, I just don't mind my surroundings, but in my mind, its bursting with thoughts that I can keep up with information whirling in my head like a tornado mixing up my mind.

I positioned myself near the window to see what's outside. With my earphones stuck on my ears, I can't hear much with the noise some people in this classroom are making.

I didn't realize that the bell already rang and it was already time for first period.

The teacher came in, but still I didn't notice her until when my classmates stood up to greet her...or so I thought..

One of them stopped at the front and said something. So, I took off my earphones to hear what it was all about.

"I'm Varraine Athenn. You may call me Varraine or Renae, choose, I don't mind."

She's the girl at the bus stop. So what? Its not that I'm interested in her.

"Can you share some with the class about yourself?"Our good-looking teacher said where some of the guys' attention are to her and some in Varraine's.

"There's nothing much interesting in my life but if I'd say so, I am straight-forward with school and I'd prefer reading than hanging out. That's all."

After that, she went back to her seat in front of me. She glanced at my direction for a sec with a bored look and silently sat down. Okay...kinda weird...

"Next."I was surprised that they all looked at me and to make sure I also looked at my back, yet there was no one there.

"Its your turn and introduce yourself in front mister,"Ms....teacher? said. I let out a sigh and proceeded in front.

"The name's Bryce....Bryce Vladimir. I pretty much don't have any interest in anything else and its not really of importance, so I guess that's it". With my hands dipped on both my pockets, I returned back to my seat. When I glanced a bit at Varraine, she was just looking outside the window in deep thought.

I settled down at my seat and Ms. O'Malley started to discuss something about our schedules and random school stuff.
Another day bites the dust..

Varraine's POV

From my peripheral vision, something caught my attention..it was a girl carrying a stack of papers and looked like she was in a hurry. She passed by three other girls, but then, one of those girls stuck her foot out on purpose to make the girl carrying some papers trip. They all laughed after the girl tripped and her papers were scattered on the floor.

tsss..another bunch of good-for-nothing girls..

I remembered the last time someone wanted to do those stuff to me. Trust me, it didn't end up pretty well. They humiliated themselves by falling into their own making. Well, serves them right.

Revenge will do me no good anyway..its just a waste of time.

A few minutes later, the bell rings and its already time for lunch. I don't really eat much food so I think I'll just buy sandwich and juice.

Grabbing my things and putting them inside my bag, I stood up and headed to the canteen. When I got there, many people are already gathering.

I quickly went in line and took my order. The canteen seems too crowded and I really dislike too much noise. So, I decided to go to a more quieter place.

As I was walking at the halls, the school's botanical garden caught my attention then I went in.

There was no one around and I sighed woth relief. I sat with my back leaned against a tree near a stream. When I finished eating my sandwich, I checked the time.

Its still 12:45 and my class starts at 2:00 so I'll just take a nap before I go.

Just then, I heard a snap of a twig nearby which caused me to immediately open my eyes and got up.

With my senses sharpened up,
always ready for anything that might happen. Scanning at the surroundings, I can feel someone's presence here. Just then there's a figure seen behind the tree near me.

To identify who might that be, I took a closer look and saw him--Bryce leaning with his back against the tree. It seems that he's going to take a nap, so I won't disturb him and mind my own.

Just then when I'm about to return back at my former place, a hand stopped me.
With a startled expression, I glanced back to see Bryce holding my wrist.

I tried to shrug his hand off but he only tightened his grip.

"Behind you"
