First things first, you will love your life after you read this book. No it doesn't contain the life-changing, enlightening philosophical schist. Just, that after reading how bad the lives of these Heroes were, you'll basically want to cuddle and never let go of your current state of events. Sounds strange? Good, you get the point of the book then.
This is next line of the Greek Gods book published last year, and once again our beloved Percy returns to explain the horrors a Demigod has to face in his/her life. And no, don't get misguided. He didn't do it because he loves revisiting bad ends of lives of people like him or he that he likes violence in general(!), he did because he was promised hamburgers. Totally understandable. If you like mutilations, decapitations, cannibalism, horrible deaths, rotten Gods, even more rotten Gods (I heard the sky cackling) and lots of blood and gore in general, you need not look any further. Rick Riordan has delivered another smashing title in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series.
The stories of all your generic heroes like Perseus, Jason, Hercules and some of those unconventional ones like Otrera, the first Amazon, Phaeton, Chrysidia and many others find a place in this audio-to-book translational piece, narrated by Percy in his ever-so-loved POV which we all missed so much in the Blood of Olympus, and written (duh!) by Rick Riordan. It's full of Percy's off-beat humor and if you're keen you can pick up some Heroes of Olympus easter eggs here and there in Percy's narrative too!
The book is available in India on all major e-commerce websites, and bookshops near you. The Indian subcontinent edition comes in a paperback well bound and printed. If you want to dive even further in the world of the Greek Heroes (don't take that literally, that would be like ketchup on a hotdog. You do not want that.) you can order the US&UK edition off of places or get major stores to order them for you. The US&UK edition is hard-bound with illustrations by John Rocco, available in cafe-book size. We Indians always seem to get the short end of the stick. I blame Dionysus (yes, he visits India, for more info read PJ and the Greek Gods).
Well that's that. Go grab your copy of this awesomely written piece of text. It will make you rethink your decision if you really want to be a Demigod. Farewell fellow Heroes. Here's to our favorite hobby, trying to stay alive.
