It was 6:15 when she awoke to a knock on the door.
"Coming", she mumbled and hurried down the stairs. She unlocked the door, and let Bill inside.
He was very athletic. She loved that about him, it made her feel safe when he was around. She made a quick meal, some rice, chicken, and carrots, nothing too fancy. That night when they went to bed it was raining, and it was cold. Around midnight, there was a loud knock on the door.
"It's nothing", Bill reassured her, "I promise".
Then there was another knock and then the doorbell rang.
"It's nothing. I'll go check," he said and left Brooke in the bed.
He rushed out the door and nothing was there. He himself, was a little suspicious, and locked the door. So he came back up and told Brooke. She was still a little worried. The next day when they woke up, there was a paper on their bedroom window stating the same thing as yesterday,I know you
I watch you
I love youBill opened the window and ripped the paper off the window. He was a little frightened now an decided to stay home from work today. That day they went out and decided to go to an amusement park. It had stopped raining and the sun was shindig bright. They went on all the rides. When they were done, they went straight to The Rose, a fancy new restaurant a few minutes away from their house. They had a lovely evening and returned home holding hands and smiling. When Brooke went up to their door to unlock it she tripped on a box. She picked it up, and it was fairly small but heavy. They entered the house, and it was ransacked. Papers everywhere, the couches and tables flipped over, their TV's and laptops smashed into pieces. She ran to the kitchen and noticed all of the kitchen was perfectly fine, except for the box they kept their extra money in, which was now empty. Over the years, in total, they had put over $5,000 in that box. Now it was empty, and Bill called the police. They told the police about the day before and the missing money. The cops said there wasn't really anything they could do, except search their house for fingerprints other than theirs. The cops had no luck, whoever did this was clever. Later that night, after they fixed everything, well except the TVs and laptops, they opened the box that was left on their doorstep, and inside of it was a fully loaded gun, and a sharp kitchen knife. No notes or anything else was found in the box.
