David's P.O.V

I opened my jaws a large yawn drawing out from deep in my chest. Closing my jaws, I stretched shaking my fur. My collar clung to my thick neck, as the metal chain scratched from my years of working. "David ya up?" My owner Jack asked. I responded with my own single bark for yes. "Good let's get ready for work." Jack said, coming over to me, and scratching behind my ears.

I stood up with a jolt, wagging my tail happily. "Come on let's get dressed." He said, even though he was already in his uniform it was time for me to get dressed. He picked up my vest that said K-9 in yellow reflective letters on the black vest. I stood as he put the vest on, and as he put the last strap on, I jumped, putting my front paws on the counter getting my prong collar onto my nose for Jack to finish putting it on. As he clipped it on, I felt the small prongs dig into my neck, as I shook my neck so the prongs sat on fur instead of skin.

The prong collar sit's right behind my ears and directly under my jaw. My other chain collar is for when I'm doing tracking, because of how light it is.

"Let's go David" Jack said. I ran to the front door my tail wagging as he opened the door and unlocked his police car. I ran out of the door and up to the car door, as I used my muzzle to open the loose car handle. After I got it open, I jumped into the black barred kennel in the backseat and grabbed the rope on the door pulling it so the door closed.

I sat down, my tongue hanging out of my mouth as it started to collect saliva at the end. Jack came to the car, my leash in hand as he opened my door, poured in my food and water and hung my leash up next to me. He closed my door again, as I began to eat my food and Jack climbed into the front seat. He started his car as I finished eating.

Jack started to drive as he turned his radio on, automatically connecting to his work station. "There is a 211 on East Becking and Juvenile. Repeat there is a 211 on East Becking and Juvenile. Forces 2-5 and 7-15 please report." The station said. Our number was four. Oh we had to go. Jack smiled as he turned the car around and made his way to the designated area.

"Let's get this show on the road." Jack said, as he stopped the car. "Stay" He commanded, as he got out of the car. Looking around I saw a closed off area, Cop cars surrounding it. Jack talked to the head Chief. When he was done he came back to the car.

Opening my door he grabbed my face "David, I need you to sniff for those bad guys. Anyone that isn't on the force, sniff them out." He said. I nodded. "He'll do it." Jack shouted behind him. Opening the door wider, he stepped out of my way. "Fetch" He commanded as I jumped out instantly putting my face to the ground.

I couldn't smell anything off. Only the scent of the police force caught my nose. I needed to get closer to the scene. I started walking over there, as the sound of a gun being shot snapped my ears forward. Looking up I saw the window of the building in front break a few screams echoing from the building "They've got hostages!" The Chief yelled.

I growled under my breath. I hated people that held hostages, it made my job harder. Always having to worry about what was happening to the people there. Groaning internally I kept sniffing. Going under the caution tape, I kept sniffing, as I crouched making sure I was below the window when I got close to the building.

Looking up I looked to Jack, I flicked my right ear my human catching the motion. He nodded as he whispered to Chief. Chief looked at me and nodded. I did a slight nod not wanting to make Chief question my breed as I crouched again and made my way to the side of the building. I looked around the corner I made sure it was clear before I turned the corner itself.

Crouching lower I felt like I was stalking prey, which I was just with a difference. I edged along that wall as well finding an entrance. Not wanting to risk getting caught. I crawled my way back, and got to Jack safe and easy. Jack knew what I was, that's why he spoke to me so much.

"What'd you find?" He asked. 'A window which we can see from here, around that corner there is a door further back. It's closed so I can't see inside but it's a good entry way for the force.' I said through our personal link. I barked out loud though just so people thought I wasn't actually talking to him. Jack turned to Chief and said exactly what I told him. The Chief nodded and yelled at forces to start gearing up and to follow me.

When they were all geared, and I got my vest switched to my bullet-proof I started making my way to the door, crouching as the forces crouched too knowing my body movements. Stopping at the corner I looked around it seeing the door. Looking around I made sure it was clear once again before making my way around. Getting everyone around the corner we all sat packed as we waited for the signal from Chief to attack. I looked back at Chief and saw the signal.

Looking to the rest I nodded as two guys standing right in front of the door broke the lock and bust the door down. Everyone made their way in, as I was one of the first. Looking around I saw at least five hostages 'five hostages, there might be more.' I linked to Jack. I sniffed the ground finding the scent of the culprits and followed it, as at least five guys stayed back to help the hostages. I crept along the floor making sure each room we passed was clear.
