Dipper lazily watched his sister Mabel swim in the pond by the shack. He then turned his head back to his journal, "Mabel, I'll be back before sunset!" Dipper says as he stands up, deer tail flicking. "But you know how grunkle Stan hates when you run off into the forest- it's hunting season dipper! It's hunting season for moon's sake!!" She said as she swam to the edge of the pond. "I'll be back before he notices...okay-?" He said with a flick of his ears. "Fine-... Just be careful!" She said as dipper trotted off.
Dipper raised his ears to scan for anything, once he knew he was fine he sat down in a clearing. He opened his book to find out more about- suddenly Dipper heard a click of a gun. Dipper quickly got up and looked around, he spotted the gun but pretended to not know to buy some time... One... Two.... Three! Dipper quickly took off, with his journal in hand. Dipper tumbled over as his right flank got shot by the hunter. He tried to get up and crawl with his front hooves and human arms. Come on... Come on dipper! His heart stopped as a shadow loomed over him. He slowly turned around to come face to face with the hunter. He was a tall, blonde headed man, with a yellow, white , and black hunting outfit.
"Say dear kid, your going to be an excellent head mount!" The hunter mused. Dipper struggled as the Hunter picked him up and tied his legs together. Dipper bit the hunter's shoulder as he was thrown over him, the hunter slapped his hind quarters. Dipper reddened and just kicked and struggled more, Mabel, Stan! Help me-! He thought as he struggled against the ropes. "Yeesh, deer kid calm your tail down!" The Hunter said. Dipper rolled over on his side and was dropped onto the ground. He used this time to scoot over towards a tree hollow, hissing he bit at the ropes on his hands and snapped it in half. The hunter quickly grabbed him by his leg and was yanked out, dipper whimpers with his ears flat against his head. Dipper was thrown into the back of the hunters truck, while he loaded his gear into the truck dipper was busily working away at the ropes on his legs. Once he finished he jumped out and away from the truck, and the Hunter.
Dipper would have got away... If he didn't trip over a root causing him to land on his gun shot wound. The Hunter quickly caught up with him. As he loaded him on the truck, dipper beat his antlers on the side of the truck the whole way.
