Snippys Story

"A long time ago......
There was a tall tree! It was really tall, about 20 feet high. In that tree lived some creatures, and those creatures where squirrels. They lived happily together, and when it came to winter they would huddle and make everyone warm. But one of their worst enemies is the... wolf '"said Snippy with a creepy voice but a little sigh at the end.
"So the squirrels would have some kind of secret wor... '"
"I'm sorry to interrupt," said Lucky, "But what's the secret word??"
"Oh I'll tell you in a minute, so as I was saying we would have a secret word, and we would have a look out squirrel who would use the word" said Snippy.
"So.... What's the secret word???" asked Lucky getting impatient.
"Ok but you can never tell anyone, or say it out loud. Ok?!?" asked Snippy looking at Lucky.
" Yeah I won't say, just tell me the word" said Lucky leaning in.
"Ok so the word is......." Snippy said leaning in more.
Then she whispered "crow crown".
"Cro.."
"Shhhhh" said Snippy.
"You don't want any squirrel to hear it or they will panic and go tell there group" said Snippy a bit annoyed.
"Oh ok sorry!! "
"Where was I..... " said Snippy stacking her chin. "Oh yes, ok so that was our code word. So when we heard it being said we would run into our homes and stay as still as we can."
"Did the hunters or foxes ever catch you? Lucky asked.
"Um...... Im hungry" said Snippy climbing up the tree.
"Aren't you going to tell me the rest of YOUR story. I want to know YOUR story not the stories of the squirrels." said Lucky looking up the tree.
No replay.
"Come on!!" said Lucky, "I really want to know your life story! I told you mine!"
'He's got a point' thought Snippy.
"Alright then" she said running  down the tree and sitting on a rock.
"So......... You where saying"
"Ok so that was our secret word"
"Did anyone get hurt??" asked Lucky.
"Well........"
"I want to know about you, tell me your life story" said Lucky.
"Ok" said Snippy giving in, "I was born into a family of 4, My Dad, Mum, my little sister, who is about 2-3 years old, and of course me. I had a best friend named Ice, he was the best of friends you can ever have...." she stopped with tears dwelling up in her eyes.
"What's wrong" asked Lucky.
"Nothing... "She said shaking her head,"Anyways, us two would wake up at midnight and lay on the grass together and watch the night sky. It was a beautiful moment, we did it every night" said Snippy with a bit of a sigh at the end.
"So what happened to him?" asked Lucky looking around.
"Well....... Do we have to talk about this?!?" asked Snippy looking downward.
"Well we don't have to" said Lucky a bit annoyed. He stood up and started walking away.
"Wait!" said Snippy standing up.
"I'll tell you it, it's only fair that I tell you my side of my life." she said looking up towards Lucky.
Lucky turned around and walked back.
"So what happened to him?" he asked once again.
"Well" she stared "it was a beautiful night and him a I where laying on the grass looking at the night sky. We had went a long way from home, cause we liked to get away from the tree. So as we where laying there we...... We...... We...."Snippy had no clue how to say it.
"We what?!?" asked Lucky impatient.
Snippy took a deep breath and said
"We didn't hear the night watch squirrel say crow crown. We also didn't realise that there was wolfs watching us the whole time. When suddenly a wolf jumped out of the bushes and then more. We where frightened and screamed, but no one could hear us. " said Snippy looking at the ground again.
"Then what happened??" Lucky asked.
"Well they first attacked Ice." she said looking away.
"Oh I'm sorry to hear that....." said Lucky looking at Snippy.
"It's fine" said Snippy wiping a tear away.
"He said
'Run! Run! Run back to the the great tree and warn everyone.' But I didn't want to go, I didn't want to leave him alone with the Wolfs. Then his last word where
'Save yourself!' And I saw the wolfs jump at him and attacking him, so I did as he told me, Run."

"I'm so sorry Snippy, I had no idea!" said Lucky looking at the ground.
"It's fine it's not your fault."
"So did you run back to the tree and warn everyone?" Lucky asked.
"I did. We hid until sun light. Once it was clear I ran back to where we got attacked. He wasn't there." said Snippy wiping a few tears rolling down her cheek.
"So I decided to run away, I didn't want to wake up in that tree knowing that my best friend doesn't live in there anymore. So I ran far away, then I saw you, you where running also. I ran up a tree and watched you. Then I saw you faint, so I went down into a bush.You woke up confused. I decided to look around you so i did it quickly. I didn't know if you where going to be a friend or enemy, but you looked like a friend, so I ran out but you stared running again, but I caught up and said hi" said Snippy looking up at Lucky.
"Wow!" Lucky said shocked,
" so we ran away from our homes in the same day"
"Yeah I guess so"
There was a moment of silence.

"Well I'm glad we meet!" said Lucky with a smile.
"Me too" said Snippy looking up to Lucky,
"I'm hungry, are you?" asked Snippy changing the subject.
"Yeah I am, lets go and get some food." said Lucky getting back up.
And they walked away together.

Hey Guys!!! I'm really sorry I haven't uploaded in a long time! I've got a lot of homework and didn't have the time to update this book, also I didn't update this book because I thought you guys weren't enjoying it. But comment down what you think this chapter turned out. Ok love ya!
