Destiny looked at her feet as she walked down the-for now-calm hallway. Her heels clicking with an ominous echo in the high school. She kept walking until she got where she needed to be. She looked at the room number. Room 211, she thought to herself. She leaned against the wall besides the room's door.
A teacher walked briskly down the hall and stared into Destiny's eyes. Destiny felt as if the teacher could see past her blue colored contacts and into her soul. Though it was only a seconds glance, Destiny felt uneasy. Shifting in her spot uncomfortably, she checked the time. 2:58. Almost 3:00. She waited, almost feeling uncomfortable in her own skin, and got lost in thought. The bell rang and shook her out of her uneasy thoughts.
A girl with long, black hair and luminous blue eyes sat idle, thinking. The teacher was going on about something she didn't quite care about. 2:58, her watch read. She sighed and glanced at her friend, Ami, from across the room. Ami was sitting happily, her maroon eyes scanning a note her crush had passed her. Fate looked away from her friend and the bell rang. Fate got up and grabbed her bag, turning to walk out of the room.
"Fate! The bell doesn't dismiss you, I d-" the teacher was cut off by Fate slamming the classroom door. Fate sighed and straightened out her uniform, when a voice spoke up.
"Excuse me, are you Fate, by any chance?" A peculiar girl with wavy, long white locks of hair and pale blue eyes that seemed too good to be true. "Allow me to introduce myself, my name's Destiny" the girl then extended her hand toward Fate. Fate took it consciously, shaking it slightly before letting it go.
"Hello, Destiny," Fate spoke softly "Can I help you?" she asked.
"U-um, yeah" Destiny shifted as the other girl eyed her "I'm going to be attending this school tomorrow, and I would like you to show me around, maybe?"
"Fine, just wait a second for my friend to get out, this teacher always holds us longer" Fate set her pack inside her locker, begrudgingly accepting the fact she couldn't go home right away. At the moment, Ami burst out of the room along with the other students.
"Fate! Good you're still here, I have extra money, do you want food?" Ami said, out of breath.
"I can't, I have to escort a new kid around the school, but I was wondering if you would come too?" Fate said, standing up straight.
"Sure! Where are they?" Ami asked.
"Right here!" Destiny said, happily smiling "I feel bad about taking up your free time, so how about I treat you guys with something to eat after this?"
"Sounds great" Ami piped up. The three girls started their tour of the school, and with that, a new friendship.
