I had forgotten I had my grad today and I was busy all day. I did get my WAY too mainstream class to dance to Twist And Shout and Yesterday, so I be happy.

Anywho. Long winded apology done. Onto the story!!

Chapter uno - I've just seen a face

Amphelis' POV

"Uhhhh," I groaned, hanging upside down on the couch.

"Amy, what's wrong now?" Theodosa asked, sighing at me.

"Theo. Amy is a goth. Everything is wrong for her," Cindy insisted, studying her hot pink finger nails.

"How many times of i have to tell you? I'm only sorta goth. I just like the look," I replied grouchily.

"Then what's with the huge sigh, then?" Ava asked in an exasperated tone.

"I'm boooooooored," I whined.

"Do your nails with us, then," Cindy told me.

"Nnnnnnooooo. It's too much work and my brain hurts," I groaned, clutching my head to emphasis it.

"I swear, Ams. You are a total baby," Theo laughed.

I sat up, dizzy as all the blood rushed back out of my head.

Looking around my group of friends, I wondered again how we came to be so close.

Needless to say, majority of us were misfits. There was Theo, my closest friend, who was a die-hard steampunk; wore the clothes, decorated her room steampunk, etc. She was dark haired, with golden eyes and darkish skin. She was very tall, much to my malcontent.

Cindy was the only "normal" one, who wore regular clothes, if you take away her severe obsession with pink. Pink lips, pink eyelashes, pink clothes, you name it. It's PINK. She's a natural bleach-blonde, with blue eyes and rosy cheeks speckled with freckles. She was very pretty, and was chased by a lot of the boys at school.

Ava was a tomboy with the biggest sense of humor I'd ever known... Not to mention a terrible temper. She was the oldest of the group, and was already in university. She had cropped, boy-cut red hair, big green eyes, and a witty tongue. She was slim, but don't let her fool you; I once saw her punch out Evan Marks for making a perverse comment about her. It was actually quite funny.

Then theres me. Short, skinny like no tomorrow, practically flat-chested, with long black hair and grey eyes. I wore dark clothing all the time, adorned with metal necklaces, and my up-the-ear peircings. I was normally considerable bubbly. Unless I'm bored. Which happens a lot.

Anyway, we sat in my living room, having our usual Saturday night get togethers. We'd derp around for hours, gossiping, listening to our IPods, getting drunk off sugar, the usual. Tonight, my parents were out on a mushy date (gag), and the four of us were left alone in the house. As we watched an insane storm rage on outside, we felt the ground shake.

Ava swore.

"What was that?" Theo asked, her eyes wide.

The shaking grew in intensity, slowly bur surely, until it became unbearable. We clung to each other, our eyes clenched shut in fear. We screamed in terror.

Then everything was still. I peeked one eye open, and gasped, hugging my friends tighter.

"Guys. Look," I said, shocked to no end.

They opened their eyes, sucking in breath, their faces pale.

We were no longer sitting in my living room... We were in an old abandoned building, cobwebs and bugs everywhere. We looked at each other and screamed at the top of lungs. This was very loud.

"Where the hell are we?!?!?!" Ava shrieked.

"How am I supposed to know?!?" I shrieked back.

We stood up, brushing the dust of our clothes.

Cindy screeched. We turned to the hyperventilating girl.

"What? What happened?" Theo asked in worry.

"My - phone - has - zero bars!" she cried, looking at the device in her hand. We groaned and rolled our eyes.

"I didn't even know that was possible! Did you know your phone could have no service?!?" she sobbed to Theo.

"Yes, now shut up and help us find a way out!" she snapped. We stumbled around the room, finally finding an exit. We went out the crumbling doorway to find ourselves on a busy street. I looked around, my eyes settling on a person reading a newspaper.

The date on the paper read June 19, 1963.

Oh. Ok then.

I flew into a frenzy, babbling gibberish to my friends.

"Time travel... Newspaper... Building... Earthquake... WHOOSH!" I jabbered, flailing my arms and earning some interesting looks from passers-by.

"Amphelis! Calm yourself!" Ava exclaimed, shaking me back to sanity. Sorta.

"Girls, that earthquake sent us back 50 years to the sixties. Today is June 19th, 1963!" I yelped. They screamed, and started to run around like headless chickens.

"Ok ok ok. Calm down girls," Theo declared, ever the calm one, "Let's start with finding someplace to stay so we can sort this out."

"Right... I have no money on me," I said bluntly.

"Neither do I."

"Nope."

"Crap. I'm broke," Theo cursed.

We sighed in defeat.

I turned around, and instantly bumped into someone.

"Sorry," I mumbled.

"It's alright, love. I should've been paying better attention," a sweet voice said.

I looked up to see the kind face of a young man. He was actually pretty cute; large eyelashes framing big, warm eyes, round rosy cheeks, heart-shaped lips, and brown hair.

He looked familiar.

"Do I know you?" I asked, studying his face. He paled.

"No-no I don't think so," he said worriedly, pulling up his collar.

Hmmmm. I looked to the girls, who seemed totally clueless.

Those chicks are useless, I'm telling ya!

I looked back to the handsome stranger, then realised it.

"I do know you from somewhere! You're Paul McCartney!"
