Bailey’s POV
Lets recap tonights events shall we? Nick and I ran the uber serenade plan past Joe and Kevin who thought it was a great idea, we MAY have led them to believe that Dad was ok with it *shrugs* after the boys were convinced it was on to security… without security on board there was no way an uber was getting on stage…not without some serious repercussions in the form of Big Rob. Luckily with some sweet talk, the pretenses that Dad was cool with it, and one cleverly presented ham and cheese sandwich, Big Rob agreed to assist in our plan. Since Sam was with me, Mom and Dad let me have a little more freedom during soundcheck which worked perfectly…we walked around scoping out the fans until I found the perfect girl, I remembered seeing her at a bunch of concerts in the past…a definite uber…her name was Shelley. We brought her up to the pit area with us during the concert and she nearly hyperventilated. Ubers are funny. Anyway…when the time came, I walked her over to the security steps next to Big Rob and Nick grabbed her hand to help her on stage. I thought she was going to DIE and the crowd lost it screaming and cheering, it was fantastic...after the song Nick gave her a hug and then led her back to the stairs. I bet she is still smiling
*B, Nick and Sam are sitting on the couch on the bus after the concert*
(Bailey) everything went great! Surely Dad isn’t that upset
(Nick) uhhhh you didn’t hear him through the two way…he wasn’t happy
*Joe and Kevin walk in looking upset*
(Kevin) did Dad not know about the uber surprise?
(Nick) well…
(Joe) Oh that’s just great…you two are on your own
(Bailey) oh come on Joey it was awesome! Did you see her face…I bet she is still smiling
(Kevin) well Dad isn’t…last I saw he was having a discussion with security
(Nick) I'm glad we did it…it worked out great
(Bailey) thank you Nicholas!
*B holds our her fist and Nick is quick to bump it*
(Bailey) you two are scrooges
(Joe) that’s Christmas smartie pants. Plus, we thought the idea was great but you didn’t tell us Dad didn’t know
(Bailey) well, 'cause you wouldn’t have done it
(Kevin) yea, 'cause I prefer to not have Dad pissed off
*Dad walks in and looks upset, Mom directly behind him*
(Dad) someone better start talkin…
*Both Kevin and Joe jut their thumbs over their shoulders to point at the twins*
(Nick & B) HEY!
(Joe) they came to us…we thought it was a good idea...
(Kevin) yea ‘cept we thought you knew and were ok with it
(Dad) and why wasn’t I informed of this decision?
(Bailey) 'cause we knew you would say no
(Dad) that is really not helping your argument right now young lady…do you realize the liability issues that could have come from this little stunt?
(Bailey) from what? The girls heart exploding from happiness?
*Mom giggles*
(Dad) I don’t find that funny…
(Bailey) that’s because Dadager has no sense of humor
(Mom) Bailey *shakes her head*
(Bailey) this is so stupid! Nick totally made that girls night. She couldn’t stop smiling and no one got hurt, it went great!
(Dad) consider yourself lucky that nothing went wrong, from now on ALL major decisions need to be run by me first
(Bailey) this is dumb *stands up* I've decided to go to my bunk now…just running that by you… *walks off*
*B lays there for a while expecting Dad to come back and start yelling…he never does*
*B’s curtain opens and there stands Mom*
(Mom) have you calmed down yet?
(Bailey) me? What about Dadager…he was the one freaking out over nothing…
(Mom) sweetie…Daddy just worries…he wasn’t upset with you, just the situation
(Bailey) well I'm upset with him, the situation was awesome
(Mom) *chuckles* he will calm down but when he does you should apologize
(Bailey) FOR WHAT?
(Mom) *cocks a brow and lowers her voice in warning* Watch your tone. You need to apologize for back talking. I agree with you, tonight’s concert was amazing, what the boys did for that girl was great, but the reason the concerts run so smoothly every night is because Daddy runs a tight ship and he has to deal with all the security and liability issues. If something would have happened and the girl tripped or fell and got hurt…the boys could have been sued or their manager taken to jail for endangering the welfare of a child.
(Bailey) *wide eyes* Dad could go to jail if someone gets hurt?
(Mom) *nods* we are liable for anyone that sets foot on stage
(Bailey) I didn’t know that
(Mom) it's not something you need to worry about…that’s the manager's job *smiles* just be sure to talk with him before you go to bed
(Bailey) yes Ma’am
*Mom smiles and kisses B on the forehead before heading toward the back of the bus*
*about an hour later B hops down from her bunk and walks into the lounge in the front, the boys and Sam are playing video games and Dad is sitting on the couch with the laptop*
(Bailey)*sits down beside Dad and leans her head on his shoulder* whatcha doin?
(Dad) *smiles* just searching youtube and the other uber spots for any recent Jonas posts
(Bailey) anything?
(Dad) *nods* mmmhmm seems your little stunt has generated some publicity
(Bailey) *sighs* it's my fault, it was my idea not to run the plan by you. I didn’t realize you could get into trouble if someone got hurt and I shouldn’t have talked to you the way I did earlier, I'm sorry
(Dad) *kisses the top of B’s head* thank you for apologizing but I'm partly to blame, sometimes its hard to find a balance between Dad and manager. I keep you kids out of the legal stuff because It's stuff I don’t want you worrying about. I shouldn’t have gotten so upset, you didn’t know. Besides, this stunt actually worked in our favor *smiles*
