Today was definitely a weird day for John Watson. He's endured medical school and he's been to the front line of was and he's also gotten shot. But nothing can prepare him for the moment that John Watson realized that he loved his mad,
brilliant, and fascinating flatmate, Sherlock Holmes.
He can't really pin-point when he started feeling this way, maybe it started when he killed a man for Sherlock Holmes and didn't even bat an eyelash when he did it. He doesn't know, but what he does know is that he can't deny his feelings anymore.
He noticed these feelings when one morning he was thinking about how lovely it looks when the light hits Sherlocks face, and what would it be like to hold that beautiful face and lightly kiss those, pink, full lips. He snapped out of it when Sherlock- typical of him- demanded tea.
John is a man of patience. But his patience can only go so far. He's worried that Sherlock would find out about his feelings for the madman. But it appears that Sherlock is oblivious.
That's a first, John thought.
John often wondered what would happen of Sherlock found out. Would he kick him out? Most likely. He really doesn't know what to anymore.
The moment that John Watson shot a man for Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock was besotted. No one had cared that much for him. So that's why he was so shocked when John beamed "amazing!" When Sherlock fired his deductions about John. It was such a relief, he had actually wanted John to like him. The more time that he and John spent together, the more fond he grew of him. He noticed that charming smile that John would beam at him when he was in the midst of making deductions and he had also come to notice the body that John Watson hid underneath those horrid, horrid jumpers. He looked like someone's dad, for gods sake!
Sherlock can't stand the mundane, semi-intelligent, dull, and most of all boring women that John dates. Shouldn't John want someone exhilarating, intelligent and not boring? Maybe someone like Sherlock. But Sherlock knows that he can't be in a normal relationship with the army doctor. It would be too much for John and if it ended, it would be messy, someone would get hurt, most likely John, and Sherlock would be possessive and not let him go.
So it would be best to let him go now, before they both did something they would regret.
"You need to move out." Sherlock said, nonchalantly.
John just came back from tescos with the milk when he heard this. His stomach sinked. 'Oh no, he knows that I love him. Of course he knows, he bloody Sherlock Holmes, famous consulting detective' John thought.
"What why?" John demanded, sounding just a bit whiny.
"John, it has come to my conclusion that I have no need for a flatmate anymore, I've earned just about enough money to pay for the rent on my own, and I've noticed that I could rather use the room upstairs for my experiments." He replied unfazed by Johns frown.
"Oh. It's not because you found out about my..." John stopped himself right before he said anything damaging. He really was an idiot, he thought. He was just so relieved that he had not found out about his love for the man, that he let the words slip out before he even thought about it.
"About your what?" Demanded Sherlock with just a hint of curiosity
Oh. You're in trouble now John.
