I picked at the lock, the keys slimy as the sweat from my palms licked at them restlessly. The lock clicked. Trying not to set the alarm off, I slid through the tiny creek in the door, looking for a way up to the mans room. The beast followed me, like a mouse, even though his furry paws were bigger then my torso. His breath tickled my neck, I could feel his sharp teeth cutting through the thick air of my fear. I knew he could smell it, it wondered through the oxygen catching through my lungs, leaving a trail of fog.
I fumbled through the dark hallway, the wood felt polished under my feet, I took my shoes of at the door, no one could know I was here, I let my shoulders brush the wall for reassurance. I stubbed my toe on a piece of wood, sheltered by carpet, "Fuck!" I stumbled collapsing on the staircase that loomed before me.
"Quiet, he will wake up and my baby Cerberus is getting hungry, you have ten minutes to feed him before you become the living flesh he will tear open after a fun little chase. Hurry you empty, loud mouthed bitch! Before I feed you too him now!" His voice rung in my ears as the sound vibrated from my skull, when I sold my soul, he now had the power to control me and speak to me through my mind. His voice was so piercing through the dead lump lying inside my head, with no use but to know how to kill, hunt, track and obey.I felt hollow, I dragged my heavy feet up the stairs. 7 minutes. I jogged through the hallway, finding a door, polished and washed, shines and cared for, this must be him, my slipped my gloves on hiding in my pocket, creaking open the door, I saw him lying there with his wife snoring on the other side of the bed. Tip toeing to his bed, I took out my dagger. 4 minutes. I sliced his wife's neck open, ripping her skin off and throwing it to the beast, he ate it, waiting for me to get to the good part. Once I finished skinning her, I moved so he could sneak in and gobble her up, his ginormous body covered over half the room, his fur, sliding across the wall.
I moved toward the man, carefully placing my dagger at his throat, I shook him awake. "Wh-what?" His eyes shot open as he shared the sight of his dead wife being gobbled up by a three headed beast. "CAROL!" He screamed, he went to reach for her, just as he sat up I tore open his neck, reaching in a dragging his veins from the hollowed skin that used to support his head. His eyes showed white as his face flipped over as I hollowed out the rest of him. I nodded to Cerberus. Out of time. "You did well my apprentice. Now come to me and I'll reward you." He sneered. I nodded walking out of the house. The beast followed me to the place I must call home.
