The year is now 1941 and the war has started. My father is busy as usual. Mother wants us to stay together. I think she might actually start standing up to father. I am 8 months pregnant.
"I want to visit Berlin", I say.
"It's nothing like it was when you were there, Jill", Benito says.
"I'm sure the city has changed a lot, but... I don't know", I say speechless.
"It was a warning, but sure let's go to Berlin", he says.
When we get to Berlin, I step outside of the train depot into the town.
It seemed strange.
"What happened here", I ask as I look at a no Jewish sign.
"No offense, but it's your father's work", Benito responds.
"None taken", I say.
When we reach the villa, we step inside because the door is unlocked.
My mother was in the kitchen cutting carrots."I smelled them burning, today. Whenever, I walk into town I see Jews crying, and getting beaten on. One German woman said to me, that I should be ashamed of my husband's doings to those innocent people. Now, I'm wondering if I should be ashamed", my mom said.
My father slaps her.
"You're selfish! You took Jill away from me! She was too young to be married and having children! You are commanding her to have children! Why?! Why'd you have to hurt me in that way, huh", my mother asks.
My father swallows hard.
"You are ruining this country that you oh so love! God made different races of people, and you cannot get rid of all of them! You have caused shame and pity. Most importantly, you have caused war! You have caused war, Hitler! In the future, when all is said and done, you'll be an evil, cruel man! I'll be known as your wife. Honey, look at me, I still love you! I will always love you! I hope you'll always love me. But, it has got to stop", my mother says crying.
Daddy kisses her, then pulls her in a hug.
"I can't turn back now", he says in a whisper.
"Umm, well, hello mom and dad", I say.
"Did you--", my dad starts to ask.
"Yes, I did hear you. I heard everything. Where's Eliza", I question.
"At her friend's house", my mom replies.
"It's okay, Jill. We were just being a married couple", my father says.
"I did it to save you, Jill. I knew war was starting, and I knew that you would want to be with somebody. So, I ordered you to marry my ally's son. He won't be going to war, ever! Princess, that is why I did it. Queen that is why I did it", my dad explains.
"Daddy", I run to him. I hug him while crying, and my mom soon joins in, and so does Benito Jr.
We end up laughing at the end.
It was a great night!
Eventually,we had to leave.
As soon, as we got to our little town. I went into labor.
The nurse let Benito do the honors.
He pulled out the baby. He fainted after he gave the baby to me.
I laughed.
"I'll name him... wait, Benito should I name him after you", I ask.
"No, please don't", he begs.
"I'll name him... Brian Lace Mussolini", I say.
"Now, we have to see what our next orders are", Benito jokes.
We meet our father, and the next order is to raise our kids.
We can have more in the future if we wanted to.
"Bellaire, I'm coming", I shout to my crying daughter.
"Honey, take Brian, please", I beg.
I run into Bellaire's room.
"Oh, baby are you hungry or did you use the bathroom", I ask.
I check her diaper.
Nothing.
I pick her up in my arms, and then I head into the kitchen.
I fix her some of my milk into a bottle, with a little bit of baby food.
I sit her in the food chair, and I say "Enjoy".
After, she is finished eating. I clean up Bell. And then head upstairs.
"I changed his diaper", Benito says.
"Bell, is waiting for us", I say.
I take Brian and me and Benito head into Bell's room.
We read her a bedtime story, then we all say our prayers. Surprisingly, Brian falls asleep at ease.
We go into our bedroom, and we both get under the covers.
"Night", I say.
"Kiss me", Benito says.
I kiss him, and we end up mating.
We fall asleep.
