"So, how's school kid?" Merriam asked, shutting the door and turning to face her nephew who was carefully placing his backpack down in her Doctor Who merchandise filled living room. Connor shrugged, examining the TARDIS shaped ornament above the fireplace.
"It's okay I guess." Connor replied waiting for Merriam to return to the baking she was surely doing, she always baked something if someone was coming over to her house especially if they stayed longer than a few hours. He really wanted to get the dolls situated in the room he would be staying in for the next two weeks, something he couldn't do in front of Aunt Merriam.
"Aunt Merriam, could you tell me where I'm going to be staying? I'll put my stuff in there and you can get back to your... Cupcakes?" Aunt Merriam laughed.
"Cookies. Good guess though! Your staying in the guest bedroom upstairs first door on your right." Connor nodded, grabbed his backpack and his little suitcase and ran upstairs."
"Alright guys it's safe." Connor whispered zipping open his backpack. Six little dolls scampered out. Lindsey was unfolding her arms from the tight hold they had on her violin, Avi was helping Kevin remove his cello from the side pocket, and Kirstie and Mitch were conversing quietly near the bed. Scott still sat in the backpack looking up only when Connor peered inside.
"Is everything okay Scott?" Scott sighed.
"Ou- Yes Connor, everything's just fine."
