Part Thirty-four

You stood there alone and felt guilty for what you did. "What should I do now? I didn't came here in time, maybe he waited for me so long so he decided to go home instead.." you said inside your thought.

"I'm really sorry, Rei-chan."

Suddenly, a hand tapped on your shoulder from behind so you jumped in surprise. "Uwaah! P-please d-don't hurt me!" you screamed.

"(F/n)-chan, it's me.. Rei-chan." Reiji said then you looked back at him and sighed in relief. "Rei-chan, you scared me. I thought you already went home." you said.

"No, I will not. The truth is, I'd been waiting for you within an hour now." he said.

"One hour?" your eyes widened after you realized. "I-I'm really sorry, Rei-chan! I really don't want it to happen! It was just because--" you bowed but Reiji held your shoulders again to stop you.

"It's fine, you didn't have to apologize." he said. You looked at him worriedly, "But, I make you wait long, I'm really so--" Reiji hushed you quickly, "It's fine. The important thing is you're here." Reiji smiled gently.

"Rei-chan..." you said.

Reiji's expression went gloomy so you felt more guilty, "You're not okay--" you said as Reiji's eyes widened and changed his mood as cheerful immediately. "What do you mean? I'm really okay, don't think something else, okay?" he said and laughed.

"But, since you made me wait for an hour... I have a punishment to give you." he said and grinned.

"Eh? What punishment?" you asked nervously.

"This.." he wrapped his arms around your waist and leaned closer to you.

"A-ano.. Rei-chan..." you muttered and blushed.

Reiji looked at your eyes, asking to have him a chance. As you looked firmly to his gray colored eyes, you noticed that he felt longing and gloomy even though he didn't admit it. You already knew that behind Reiji's importunate, cheerful and goofy manners, hidden a grief and sorrow inside his heart. Undoubtfully, you wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed him, Reiji didn't expect you to kiss him first but he just ignore it later and kissed you back passionately.

Suddenly, you felt your chest ached, you didn't know what was the reason for it. A feeling like something thrusts in your heart and wanted it to broke in pieces, a confused and sadness enters inside you. It was all mixed up but you tried to desist what you felt that time.

"i love you, (F/n)-chan." Reiji whispered to you as he cupped his hands on your cheeks, you just nodded and smiled lightly.

"This feeling... I think I just need to accept Rei-chan's feelings.. I can't tell the truth to him, and I don't want him feel hurt. Besides, Tokiya-kun already have Haruka-chan so, I think my decision is right..." you thought.

"I... I love you too, Rei-chan." you replied so Reiji felt happy and caressed you, "I'm so happy! Thank you, (F/n)-chan." he said gladly so you chuckled.

"Hai." you smiled gently and hugged him and buried you face on his chest.

"I'm very sorry, Syo-kun.. I just don't have a courage to face the truth.." you cringed.

On a distance behind Reiji, there were someone watching the both of you silently, and that someone was Tokiya.

He searched out for you and found you and Reiji kissing, he saw everything and heard everything. He took a tight grip on his chest to where his heart is located, he couldn't do anything but clenched his teeth and ceased the tears that formed in his eyes.

He feels like his world is ruined by knowing that you accepted Reiji's feelings, he saw nothing but only a dark place that will never be illuminated again. A pain that ran through his whole self, a pain that he didn't expect to feel.

"(F/n).. Is there something else I can do to steal you from him? Why did I make this thing happened?!..... Am I too late? He owns your heart now... and I didn't do anything to stop it.." Tokiya said in regret.

A tear dropped unexpectedly, a heart broke in pieces like a glass...

A pain, sadness and sorrow that both of you felt that time.

Was just like an endless nightmare..
