Emily and Sara had been waiting for this their whole lives, the day that they could finally move out of their small hometown in Alabama to the city of their dreams, New York.
"I'm gonna miss you so much." Saras mum told them just before she gave each girl a kiss on the forehead. Emily had moved in with Sara at a young age due to the fact that her mother died while giving birth to her and her father abused her up until grade 2 when she met Sara and told her about it. Being young girls, they didn't know what to do so Sara told her mother and she called CFS. I'm not sure exactly how Saras mum, Leanne, had won custody of Emily, but I knew for sure that she would have fought as hard as she could to get it.
