Hello

I snap my head around and see a guy who has short brown hair that comes into a flip in the front with blonde ends. He looks about 18 and 6'3".

"I guess not." I sit up and dangle my legs over the window. I look out over the town and I feel eyes on me. I turn around and see the boy staring at me. "Are you going to sit down?" I roll my eyes and turn back around.

I feel a body brush up against me and I know he is sitting by me now. I feel eyes on me again and I turn and look at him. "Why do you keep staring at me?"

"Because you're beautiful." My eyes widen and I look him dead in the eyes. He chuckles and throws his head back, "Why do you look so appalled? Don't you get that a lot?"

"Actually no." I reply and look out over my small town, "it's always the opposite."

"What?! That can't be!" I see him throw his hands up and shake his head.

I don't respond. I don't want him to know about me. But, I spoke too soon.

"So tell me about yourself." He shifts his body so he is facing me and has his legs up on the widow frame.

"What do you want to know?" I don't move and my voice is monotone.

"I don't know, I just want to know more about you."

"Okay," I turn my body to the same position that he is in, "I'm a junior at the high school here in town. I'm 17, my name is Abbie Johnson, and-"

"No," he cut me off, "I want to know about you. Like what you are made of. Your family, pets, et cetera."

"Umm okay... well, I'm an only child, my parents work a lot. They are both brain surgeons in Denver so they are gone a lot. I have a maid named Ms. Sanchez who basically raised me. I don't have any pets but I really want a Saint Bernard puppy. Wait, why am I telling you all of this? I don't even know your name." I tilt my head and look into his beautiful brown eyes.

"Okay, my name is Jack Gilinsky. I just moved here with my dad David. I have a mom and older brother. My brother, Matthew, is in college and my parents just divorced. I am originally from Omaha, Nebraska. I am 18 years old, I am a senior and I play football." He looks into my eyes and I soon get uncomfortable so I look down.

A cool breeze swept through the small concrete building and I shiver. Jack must've noticed because he pulled his black hoodie off and handed it to me. I shake my head, "I'm fine, thanks though."

But I wasn't. Wind kept blowing through here and I couldn't stop myself from shivering.

"You aren't fine. Just take my jacket."

"I don't want you to get cold either."

"I'll be okay. Just take it." Jack throws it at me but I throw it back.

"No!" We start laughing as we throw it back and forth until he was chasing me around the building to put it on for me.
