Jordan's Pov.

I awoke from my slumber with a massive headache. It's Probably from crying all the time. I can't help the sadness I feel, and it's because one special person isn't here with me.

I sat up from my comfy pillow and checked the clock on my nightstand. Three in the morning. I sighed, then scanned the dark room that was only lit slightly by the moon light peaking in from the window. I always loved the way the moon would illuminate things because it was so pretty. I'm weird.

After I was done admiring the moon I looked at the empty spot on the bed beside me. Not there. Every time I wake up I hope to see him,but my hope is shattered with the reality of him not actually being there when I wake. I miss him and everything about him. His voice, smile, corny jokes and his soft hair.

I miss my Tom.

I sniffled a bit and wiped my eyes that were stinging with tears. Tom was in the army,so I don't get to see him often, only when he was able to come home, which was rare. He loves helping our country, but I hate him having to be gone for so long. The last time I saw him was in April... It's December now. I wanted him home for Christmas, but I'm not that special. I'm sure other families want their own kins to be home as well.

I laid back down and closed my eyes, hoping this headache and heartache would pass.

I opened my eyes again, only to be greeted by the bright light of the sun.
I sometimes wish I was a child again, but then I wouldn't have what I do have now, like Tom.

I heard knocking coming from the other room,so I quickly got off my bed to go answer the front door. I sighed when I realized who it was. Tucker and Sonja.

"Is he even here?" Tucker asked her.

Maybe if I'm quiet they will leave.
I quickly stood by the door, listening to see if they would leave.

"No,he's too lazy to go out by himself,so I'm sure he's here." Sonja said as she banged on the door once more.

I opened the door and crossed my arms stubbornly. "I'm not."

Sonja hugged me,then walked past me and into my house. Tucker patted my shoulder and walked in after her.

"Sure,come on in." I mumbled.

I shut the door, then walked into the living room. I don't mind them coming over once in a while, but they come over almost everyday. I want some time alone, but unfortunately I don't think that'll happen anytime soon.

"So,I thought it would be a good idea to decorate your house for Christmas ,since it's like the day after tomorrow." Sonja said as she set her phone on the coffee table.

I'm not much for decorating as I used to be. Tom and I would, but that was before he had to leave again.

I guess I looked sad because Tucker put his hand back on my shoulder.

"Look Jordan,Sonja and I just want to spend time with you so that your not alone. We know that it hurts you to have someone you love away, but it's life and I'm sure Tom wouldn't want you to just sit around and mope about it. Tom would want you to have the most decorated house in the neighborhood,so that's why me and Sonj went out of our way to buy lots of Christmas decorations for your house."

Sonja nodded and hugged me again, only tighter. "Can we please?" She begged.

"I guess it wouldn't hurt to have the best decorated house in the neighborhood." I smiled at her, which made her tighten her grip.
