There is nothing I hate more than having to get up early and driving to school on the first day.

The only thing good about it, is that I was now officially a senior and that it was the last year at this hell. I wasn't popular, I was mostly considered an outcast and most people just decided to walk right past me and act like I was invisible. I didn't mind that, I actually liked how it was like that. I hated attention, which is why I stayed out of everyone's way as much as possible.

Pulling into the school's parking lot I let out a shaky breath. I may have been doing this for the past three years, but I still get nervous on the first day.

After parking, I let out a shaky breath trying to prepare myself to walk into the school. I grabbed my black backpack that had little white music notes all over it and put it in my lap. I had notebooks and pencils already stuffed inside it so I had everything I needed and my books for all my classes were already in my locker. I threw open my car door and slowly got out of my car while analyzing the parking lot and seeing some new freshmen's anxiously walk towards the entrance. I then slung my backpack over my shoulder while I closed my car door and locked the car as I started walking to the front doors of the school. Once I had arrived at the entrance I took a deep breath in as I swung the door open and walked into the crowd of kids all talking about their summer and what classes they had. I walked towards the office to collect my schedule, as I walked in the direction of the office I heard someone calling my name from behind.

"Ali!"

I quickly turned around and saw my friend Leo running to catch up to me with a grin plastered on his face. This was usually what he would do every morning, he would meet me at my locker and have a conversation about the most random stuff. But this time he didn't have Evan with him like he usually would.

"Sup Leo." I semi shouted since he was still about 10 feet away from me. I watched as he jogged to catch up to where I stood but that didn't take long since he was so tall.

Once he was right in front of me he pulled me into a hug with his arms around my shoulders and my arms around his waist. I haven't seen him since before I left for California which was about 4 weeks ago.

He pulled away from the hug and looked down at me. I was only 5'4 and he was about 6 feet, so there was a big height difference.

"How was California, Ali?" He asked with the grin still on his face.

"It was good I guess."

"You guess?" He laughed. He knew I wasn't much a fan of the weather down there and I didn't exactly like how many people were there as well.

"You know that I don't really like it over there."

"Yeah, I know you don't. You complained to me and Evan about how hot it was there the entire time you were there." He laughed loudly. He was right, almost everyday I would text either him or Evan about how much I hated the weather and that it was too hot.

"True." I laughed along with him as we continued the journey to the office.

"Where's Evan?" I asked.

"He went to go meet up with the soccer coach." Leo responded. I almost forgot that Evan was captain of the soccer team, which he had been for the past two year.

"Oh, yea. I almost forgot."

As soon as I responded we had reached the office and gathered my schedule. I looked down at my schedule to see the teachers that I had for this year since I already knew the classes that I had.
