I first stumbled across 1D in 2013, May 1st 10:30 pm to be precise.All thanks to my need of knowing everything and anything that goes around. I was reading a story on a local online news website. And my 1D journey began owing owing to the story of the budding friendship between two of the side characters in the fiction, who as kids used to be sworn enemies. The guy sees the girl upset and sitting quietly on the launch on thier return trip home, which strikes him as odd as she was always, so very bubbly and joyous. So he sends her a text asking her to turn on her bluetooth. When she does, he sends her the lyrics of the first three verses of the song KISS YOU by ONE DIRECTION. And me being the curious person that I am, I open a new window, go on to you tube and type in "Kiss you" by One Direction Lyric Video. Not knowing back then, that, in a few minutes time it would change my life; or rather, become my life. I clicked on the first video that came up, which happend to be one with pictures of the respective members who are singing each part. I left it at that, to load and play, you should note that I had really slow internet back then, so it took time. So anyways, I was reading the story and was so engrossed in it that I didn't even hear the start of the song. When the page I was reading ended , and waiting for the next part to load, was when I first heard the tune. But the part that caught my attention was " I wanna show you to all of my friends, making 'em drool down their chinny chin chins" . The part was quiet catchy and the voice which sung it was really nice; and till date that is my most favourite part of the song. So I went to the you tube window and went back a few seconds. And the picture that suggested who was singing was of a really cute and innocent looking blonde guy with eyes the colour of the ocean after a storm. And I thought to myself, wow this is really nice, let's listen to it from the begining. So I reeled it to the start and heard the starting, and the photo showed a boy with dark brown with a thick blonde streak, cheekbones and gorgeous caramel brown eyes, who had one of the most amazing voice that I had ever heard singing ' Oh, I just wanna take you anywhere that you'd like. We go out any day, any night' . Just then, the little circle that keeps on rotating to indicate loading, disappears and I returned to the story. But this time I kept my ears on the song. After the amazing voice of the raven haired boy, there was a another voice which to me, sounded perfect, singing 'Oh, tell me, tell me, tell me, 'ow to turn your love on'. Though I was restless to see the owner of the voice, I refrained, and continued on with the story. But one could only hold on for so long; for me it was until the part which first caught my ettention. From their I kept my eyes peeled on the video, the story forgotten. After the "chinny chin chin" guy finished, an angelic voice singing "if you, you want me too, lets make a move" accompanied with a picture of a guy who reminded me of a puppy, wearing a warm smile that made me smile in turn, honey brown eyes, which gave me a sense of safety and reasurence even through the screen, and beautiful dark brown hair. Then after the brown with blonde haired guys singing again, I heard the most unique voice which won my heart singing 'yeah, so tell me girl if every time we' , with a photo showing a chestnut brown haired boy with beautiful blue eyes as the owner of the voice. Now you must be wondering, or will tell that I am bluffing as I have not yet mentioned seeing Harry, or "the guy with the perfe t voice" for to me, back then, when he had quite a number of solos in the song. But believe it or not, he was the last out of the boys that I saw. I might have caught glimpses of him before, but either I was too distarcted or concentrating on one of the other boys. Call it fate, but the moment my eyes fell upon the, back then mystery boy, with curly hair, green eyes and the oh-so deep dimples, I fell in love with him. He looked so perfect to me, and the fact that he was the last of the five ridiculously handsome guys that I saw,yet me taking a liking to him more than the others spoke volumes to me. Not that I am saying that any of them are any less or as good as Harry, because they all are great. But the heart wants what it wants, right. After listening to that song for, maybe two hours, I opened a new window, and typed in One Direction, and then spent the whole night getting to know them; Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles, about how they were formed, their story. And I also learned that there was a lot to learn from them, a lot of insiprations to take, and a lot of experiences and memories to cherish. So I spent that whole night, which was a school night, watching 1D's funny moments, video diaries, tour diaries and their songs. Within 10 days of this incident I had all their songs, which I had to beg a friend to get me, blasting the songs every chance that I get, learned half their songs by heart and was talking my friends' ears of, talking about the band that had become my life, my joy and my idols. This is the story about how I found my idols and life by chance, which changed my life.
