Flood plains flooded
Eternal rhythm of splash
Swayed the city
Highways, slippery slides
And yet, heroes arrived
Swarming against the tides
Reaching out a hand to rescue
Brave and strong, They marched
Against Nature's rage
But the end wasn't ready
