Seeing my best friend like that broke me down. I started crying with her. We stayed that way for about five minutes before I started questioning her.

"Kia, how did this happen?"

"What do you mean? I freaking had sex! Now I have to pay the consequences! I don't want to be a teen mom!" Hold up. Why is she screaming at me?

Kia's 17, I'm 18. We just finished high school. We got our own apartments for cheap, since you have to be at least 17 years old to buy one. You also have to have a  means to pay the rent. We both have a job, but I don't think she's going today. I don't think I should either. I should be here for my friend. I've missed too many days of work already, so I have no choice but to go.

"I don't know why you're mad at me! I'm here to help you. So I think you need to check yourself before I leave."

"No, Jansie, I'm sorry. Please don't leave! I'm just so frustrated." She's pleading with me, how could I leave.

"I won't baby girl. Who did you lose your virginity to? And when?" I want to help her, but I also want the details.

"I think it was almost 3 weeks ago. I lost it to Ty."

Ty was definitely classified in my book as a player. He went out with over half of the girls in our senior class! As a matter of fact, I saw him about a week ago with some new girl. They were clearly a couple. Maybe that's why I didn't see her when I was with those girls. She probably saw him and sped up.

I honestly don't know what she was thinking. She had to know he didn't care for her. How are we going to convince him he is the father... without a paternity test? This is going to be hard. Hard for her, and hard for me!

"Why?" I barely got the question out before a tear slipped out my eye. I felt so bad for her. I mean yeah, it was a very stupid decision. But what can I say? We all make stupid decisions sometimes.

"He sweet talked me. He told me he loved me. He said I was beautiful. Jansie, we were dating for almost 5 weeks."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I was scared." Scared for what? She know's I always got her back.

"Of what?"

"I thought you would think I was stupid. I didn't need you to tell me that. I already know I am."

"You are so far from stupid Kia. You may be a little foolish at times, but you are not stupid." I'm trying my hardest to console her.

"I know." Tears are still falling from her eyes.

"It's okay sweetie. We'll get through this."

"I love you Jansie."

"I love you too."

I stay over Kia's house until 1:30pm. She told me about everything she and Ty went through. All the way up until that night. She also informed me that she and Ty had not spoken for about a week and a half because they got into an explosive argument. We ate the remainder of my pancakes together and I noticed a piece of paper in the bag when I was about to throw it away.

Call me maybe? (614) 555-0208

Aaryn

I don't know if I should call him or not. I mean he's way to hot for me. I ended up tossing the paper into the trash.

"I'll be on my way now Kia."

"Okay." She hollered from her room.

I opened the door, and stepped out. Before I completely close the door, I step back in.
