Toasty stared into her bathroom mirror, expecting motivation from her current self. She stared at her own reflection for about 25 minutes, saying nothing. She finally got the courage to open her mouth and say "Nope, I'm gonna die today for sure."
Once Toasty went back to her room, she stared at her homemadr bookbag. Small doodles of her face and her OC's were drawn perfectly in a brand new Sharpie. She reluctantly picked it up and set it on her bed. "So, are ya really going to school after yesterday?" She turned to her closet to see a robotic black and white dog emerge from the doors. His eyes were an icy blue, and his collar was as blue as the oceans illustrated into books. He flicked his ears, and when he did that, a robotic noise or two would sound. "Yea. Gonna be tough, though. Bot, you have to come, too. Besides, you're my best friend out of school, why not be mine in school, too? Your first day's gonna be fun, don't worry. I'll have a new bodyguard as soon as you step foot into the building." Bot sighed and started over to the dresser. He picked out a bright, clean, teal un-done bowtie and threw it to Toasty. "School sucks! Trust me, I've watched the cartoons while you're away. I'm always like 'Wow, sucks to be Toasty right now!!!', I feel you!" She had already tied the bowtie onto her furry neck while Bot blabbed away about how he thought how bad school was. "To be honest..." She explained while picking up her bookbag, also gesturing to the green bookbag she had gotten Bot. "Besides the friends, nice teachers, books, lunch, library, and art, school's pretty much terrible." Bot nodded in agreement as he got on his two hind legs to pick up the bookbag and wear it. "Hey, I kinda look like Finn!" He yelled proudly, placing his metal paws on his hips. "Yea, if Finn were a robotic husky shipping addict." Toasty cracked, and rushed downstairs, with Bot follwing behind. They flew onto the bus, to the very back seat, Toasty's favorite spot. It was her go-to seat the first day she flew on, and she'd kept it ever since. "FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR BOT! FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR BOT!" They chanted the whole way the rode.
"WOOOOOOOWWWW" Bot browsed around the school entrance, watching everyone file in, as if their lives depended on it. "Yo, dude, focus. Homeroom's upstairs, this floor is for Kindergarten-4th, upstairs is for the other two 4th grades-6th, and then back here is 7th-8th." Toasty explained as she guided Bot to the stairs. "There's the office, here's the library, oh! There's the lunchroom. It's breakfast now, good thing we ate before we came. I hear it can get-" Bot interrupted. "Extremely fun?" Toasty answered with a scared face. "Intense." The duo walked up the stairs, while Toasty led to her classroom. "Welcome to Mrs. M's homeroom honors classroom!"
Bot casually walked in, following Toasty as if she were his mother and he was her duckling. "Here, because you have a bookbag, Mrs. M and I had arranged it for you so we could share a cubby! Can't wait for lockers next year, though." Bot noticed how his friend would always show him something, and then a brighter or darker side of it. Even though it sometimes upset or excited him, either way, he loved her like a sister, and that's what the two acted as, siblings. He scanned the room to find a few orher students. "We came early, by the way. Not many take the bus in this classroom, either." Bot nodded, and set his bookbag next to Toasty's hook. Because she had 2 hooks for her cubby, her bookbag and his fit perfectly. "Come on, you can squeeze a seat by me. Take a seat from the middle section. Bot looked around, at the circular trapezoid desks surrounding the room. He noticed two desks in the middle, with four seats, so he took one of those. "Who dat?" Bot asked as he squeezed himself between two other chairs. "That's my partner, call him TJ for now." Bot stared at him. "Go, you don't sit here!" TJ shouted. "Hey, this is a new student. Sheesh, it's the Holidays man." Bot realized that he was in the wrong crowd. As he thought to himself, am I going to fit in?, that's when he noticed Jayflower and Rainsong.
