Pulling up her hoodie she frowned. The only good thing about the hoodie was it covered her hair. Alina was fifteen, short, and had long dark brown hair. She lightly touched the spot where her lip was swollen. Bianca had punched her there yesterday. Yesterday was Alina's first day of her new school and didn't know not to make a come back at Bianca. The reason they moved was because her dad got a new job. They moved from Vermont to California.

"Alina, breakfast!" her mom called from downstairs. Alina covered her lip with lip balm the best she could. Alina ran downstairs to see her mom trying to take away the phone from her five year old brother that was texting.

"Hey honey how was school?" her mom asked but Alina didn't want to answer.

"Um it was fine," Alina was hoping her mom had forgot to ask yesterday but she had to ask today.

"That's good, no bullies?" her mom asked.

"Yea it was fine," she said hoping her mom would stop asking and finally she went questioning Lucas, her brother. Then her bus came but Alina wasn't ready for the humiliation. She tried to run upstairs and pretend to grab something but her mom saw her bag by the door and pushes out the door. She thought to herself, not again.
