You saw me.
I didn't even recognize you,
But I saw the debate in your eyes.
You wanted to say something,
Didn't know how.
You paced back and forth,
Mouth slightly moving,
Quickly shutting.
I didn't recognize you.
Not because I didn't want to,
But because I haven't seen you for so long,
I thought I'd never see you again.
Years ago, we both went our separate paths.
Today, we crossed paths.
I guess it wasn't meant to be.
At least you know I'm okay.
Most of all, I know you're okay.

Separate Paths, Crosses Paths
PoetryThis poem isn't meant to be only about relationships, but friendships. Interprete it however you please. That is what poetry is about. Thanks for taking the time to read it. I don't write too much poetry anymore.
