"Mom I'm leaving for school." I yell. The sound echoes through the house. I don't wait for her to answer, cause she's not. I walk through the door and head to the red convertible in the driveway. I put the key in the ignition, and pull out the driveway.
I head to school, but make a stop at Jake's house so that I can pick him up.i quickly send him a text.

Don't worry I'm walking out the door right now
I look up to see him closing and locking his door.
"Hey, what took you so long." I laughed a little.
"What do you mean late, I'm right on time." He grinned pointing to the clock. It read 7:30, he was right, right on time.
"Ughhh, I don't want to be late for our first day of senior year."
We laughed together, and then we started making our way to school.
Me and Jake have been friends since kindergarten, I don't even know how it started, I guess it just started. He's always been there for me that's what I love about him.

I had finally gotten ready and was waiting for Maddie to text me. I was nervous for our first day of senior year, it seems like me and Maddie have grown apart over the years. I still love her though, but I don't see us being together any time soon. She already has a boyfriend.

I'm woken from my thoughts by the sound of my phone.

I quickly text back while walking through the door.

I walk over to the car, and smile. She looks beautiful. She starts arguing about how I'm so late, but I'm not really listening, I'm just staring at her beautiful blue eyes.
The rest of the drive is kinda boring we end up just listening to music for most of the drive. After a short 5 minutes of silence we pull up to the school.
"See you in third period." I say this while closing the door of her car.
"Yah can't wait. Yay biology." She says sarcastically, we both laugh, biology is Maddie's worst subject.
Once Maddie locks up her car we split. She probably going to go and hang out with her boyfriend and all her popular friends. I just head to class.
