Emma finally found me sitting in her car crying.
"I was looking all over for you." She quickly jumped in the drivers seat and went to hug me.
"I know that must have been hard for you."
At this point my mascara was already running, tears were streaming down my face. I went into my purse and grabbed a tissue. Though I had wiped most of my tears, my mascara was still smeared all over my face.
"Ok, how about we pick up some ice cream and then I'll drop you off at home. I have cheer practice in 30 minutes.

I ended up sitting in my bed eating the coffee ice cream Emma picked out for me. I still hadn't bothered washing the mascara off my face. After a few minutes of enjoying
myself I heard the door open downstairs. I heard my mom talking to someone downstairs.
My door opened 2 seconds later. There stood Jake in my doorway and me on my bed with ice cream and mascara still smeared on my face.
"Oh gosh. Did I catch you at a bad time. Your mom said it was okay to come see you."
"You were right about catching me at a bad time, but it's okay. What's up."
"I just came to pick up the history notes that You said I could borrow...... Is everything okay, I could leave if you want me too and pick them up tomorrow?"
"No it's okay I have my notes right here." I walked over to my desk and pulled his notes out of the pile of my stuff. "Here."
"Thanks. Is there anything you want to talk about Maddie, you know you can talk to me."
"Nothing really happened I went shopping with Emma and we saw Noah." I said looking at the melted ice cream in my hand.
"Oh." He started walking towards me and sat next to me on my bed. He unexpectedly went to hug me, and I hugged him back. We might not get along at school, but we've always been friends no matter what.
I started sobbing into his shoulder. It was only a second until I regained myself and pulled away.
    "Thanks." I smiled.
     "No problem."
And in a second he was gone.
I went to the bathroom and cleaned up my face. Then I went downstairs to put away my ice cream.
I started making my way upstairs when my mom started talking to me.
"Honey, is everything alright. Jake was up there for quiet awhile."
"Everything fine." I'm glad I had cleaned my mascara off before coming downstairs or else she would have known I had been crying. It's not like she would have cared though, she's too busy with work.
I decided on taking a nap for a few hours before starting homework.

I just wanted this nightmare to be over.

*************************
I was woken up by a text

R u feeling better? Can I still catch a ride with u?

It was nice of Jake to send me a text.

Yeah, I'll be ready in 15

I went to work. If I wanted to be at school on time then I would have to rush.
I ended up wearing my white skinny jeans with a mint colored top with a bow and Ruffles in the front. I decided on wearing my brown sandals and a pair of pearl earrings.( pic at the begging of chapter). I wore my hair down and did nothing but brush it because I was running out of time. I ran down stairs and skipped breakfast, I had just enough time to take a quick detour to Starbucks before school started.
I ran outside and Jake was already staring by my car in my drive way. I took the keys out my purse to unlock my car. Once it was open we both jumped in.
"Is it okay if I stop by Starbucks before school?"
"Sure"
There was a drive thru Starbucks on our way to school.
"Do you want anything?"
"Sure anything that has caffeine in it would be good." He said looking up from his phone.
I quickly ordered so that we wouldn't be late to school.
"So are you going to tell me the whole story about what happened yesterday?" Jake said sipping on his coffee.
"Um, well it's kinda long, and I don't really want to break down crying before coming to school, so how about we meet after school to Panera or something and I'll tell you the whole story. Plus, I haven't been able to talk to you in a while.
And then we pulled up to school.

******JAKES POV******

School was over and I was getting excited about going out to eat with Maddie, we haven't done something like this in a really long time. I miss hanging out with her.
I walked over to her car and of course she wasn't there yet, so I played on my phone for a few minutes. Minutes later I heard Maddie coming my way with her group of friends. She said goodbye to all of them and then unlocked the cat so we could get going.
"I'm starving." Maddie said making dramatic noises."I bet you can hear my stomach growling from like a mile away."
"Well, how about you actually start the car so that we can eat something. Your not the only one whose starving." We both burst into laughter.
"Fine, fine I'll start the car." She said with a smile on her face."were do you want to eat?"
"I don't know you can chose."
"Panera it is."she said.
"Whatever you say." She always had a way of making me smile.

Once we ordered we took our seats. Maddie and I used to do things like this all the time and I really miss it. "So," I started playing with my straw and blew the wrapper in her direction.
"Jackson!" She grappled her straw and did the same to me. We bursted in laughter. I knew how to make her laugh.
"So are going to tell me about your little meeting with Noah?" She quickly glanced away.
"Oh, yeah, sure...um, I guess I'm making a big deal about him. It's just felt  so betrayed . He was the best boyfriend I could ask for and then he just stabbed me in the back." She paused. "Jake I'm glad that you'll always be there for me, without you I don't know what I would do." She gave me a slight smile.
My heart was pounding she had never said anything like that to me before. She looked up at me, "what are you looking at?" She looked behind her.
I was looking at the most beautiful girl in the world. "You."
