when I open the door to the house I hear the sound of an Angelic laugh coming from the kitchen.

I put my bags down and head towards the kitchen to inspect it .

I'm about to say I'm sorry when he slaps me across the face. My head whips to the side and I fall to the ground with my hand over my face. I feel the tears coming from my eyes before I can stop them, and quickly wipe them away. This isn't the first time he's hit me. He usually doesn't , but when he does he usually apologizes right after and baby's me until I get better .

When I get up I walk straight to the car and sit in the back.

Mike comes running out of the house and sits in the front seat, he turns around and start apologizing.
