SECRETS - Prologue

Alexander walked across the long hallway following Bella's husband.

"I'm really glad you made it Alexander," Bella's husband told Alexander.

"When you told me my sister was involved in our conversation I had to come," Alexander said as he entered the room. There was a lovely red carpet on the floor, a bookshelf and a desk with a stack of paper in the middle and a feather quill with a tiny bottle of ink on the side. He sat down on a chair. "So why did you call me here?" he asked both Bella and her husband. His sister was sitting right in front of him and by her side was her husband sitting on his desk. Bella sighed then looked at her brother.

"Alex.." she said "I'm pregnant," she told him. Alexander's eyes widen a bit then he tightly gripped on the side of the chair he was sitting on. (almost like arm chairs)

"Well, you two must be happy," he told her. She looked at him.

"But you aren't," she said in a sharp tone.

Alexander turned away from his sister "You never cared about my opinions before. Why now?"

" I never said I cared, but I know the real reason why you're mad," Bella's said to her brother "Its because you never liked my husband,"

"He changed you completely Bella ... and you know what he is,"

"Do you think I care?!" Bella yelled getting up from her chair.

"Do you know what can and will become of that child of yours?" Alexander asked his sister "Do you?"

"I don't care,"

"Well I do," Alexander said and got up from his chair and grabbed his sister by her shoulder "I don't want you to get hurt,"

Bella backed away a little from her brother.

"I'm glad you care...but..." Bella said when her husband grabbed her shoulder.

"She'll be fine Alexander, I can assure you that," he told Alex. He then turned to Bella.

"Bella my dear, why don't you get some rest alright?"

"Okay,"

"Thanks," he told her then kissed her on the cheek. "Take good care of yourself," he said then Bella walked out of the room and closed the door behind her.

"You made her leave for a reason right?" Alexander asked.

"Yes," he said "So, you don't like me one bit huh? Ot does it have anything to do with who I am?"

"I don't like you because I don't trust you," Alex said "I know what you are,"

Bella's husband chuckled.

"You haven't changed one bit Alexander," he said as he got up from his chair and started to walk around.

"What do you mean by that?"

"That after all these years of Bella and me being together," he said "You still don't trust me?"

*BANG!*

Alexander shot Bella's husband but he caught the bullet before it went through him.

"You know these weapons can't kill me," he said the dropped the bullet "Now about Bella's baby..." he said changing the subject "I know you worry that something might happen and that she can get killed...but trust her on this. This was her decision Alexander. It can't be undone,"

"I guess you're right," Alexander said.

"But..." he said then Alex looked at him.

"Your sister is really lucky," he said 'Because she is human the baby will be half human because of her mother,"
