Lily pov 

Walking through the hallways there was whispers all around me, my best friend Elise, ran up to me and whispered "there's a guy who murdered someone here..." I looked at her to see if she was actually serious. "Who?" I asked looking around not seeing anyone unfamiliar. "Him!" She pointed as a tall muscular guy came walking in and everyone scattered away from him as my friend Niall and him walked passed everyone he glared at them making them look away. Niall was goofing around with him and he instantly smiled as soon as he saw me and Elise.
     He ran up to me and Elise and kissed her on the lips. "Hey Ni" she blushed as he kissed her forehead "hi beautiful!" He smiled "hey lil! Oh, Liam Come here!" He yelled to the guy who walked over to me and Elise making me smile a bit and Elise moved back near Niall who put his arm around her in a protective way. "Li say hi! Don't be rude!" He said to the guy, well Liam. Liam glared at Niall and looked at me staring into my eyes "hi. I'm Liam." He extended a hand and I shook it confidently making him raise an eyebrow "oh, I'm lily." I smiled a bit and he just nodded at me looking at Niall who smiled "oh this is my girlfriend Elise!" He said proudly as Elise extended her hand and Liam just ignored it and walked past her making Niall wiggle his eyebrows at me "aw he likes you!" Elise groaned "wait for it..." She said smirking "no he doesn't!" I said as Elise said it at the same time as me. "Whatever! Cmon I gotta get to class" I rolled my eyes
       "lil!" I heard a person yell and I turned towards the voice. "Hi Harry!" I laughed as he pulled me into a hug. "Did you see that new kid?" He asked me hugging Niall and Elise. "Yea his name is Liam and he's cool" I said and Harry looked at me weirdly "he's a fricking murderer! He killed his father!" He whisper yelled at me. "Maybe he did, but trust me, he's my best friend! He's a really great guy once you get to know him!" Niall defended and I just smiled nodding "yea I don't like to judge before I actually get to know a person Harry! And usually neither do you!" I said to him and he just shook his head sadly "no but this Time you've gotta believe me! He's not a good guy!" He said trying to persuade me, "guys cmon we have class."
    Elise grabbed my arm dragging me away from the boys who headed to their own classes. I sat in my usual spot in the back with a few seats empty next to me. The teacher introduced Liam and his eyes locked with mine his gaze making me feel like he was judging me I looked away shy. Liam walked over and sat next to me. He looked at me and stared for a bit making me look at him curious "what?" I asked and he just glared at me "nothing. Don't talk to me" he snapped and looked away. Looking at him now he doesn't even look that scary. He's just a normal teenager. "What are you staring at?" He smirked and I shyly turned my gaze onto the ground. "Nothing sorry" I squeaked "no don't lie to me lily, it was me." He said quickly and smoothly winked at me making me blush. I didn't talk to him the rest of class and he walked out the room. "Hey Liam wait!" I called him and he didnt acknowledge me so I poked his shoulder making him look at me annoyed "why do you insist on talking to me lil? You're gonna get hurt. Go and hang with better people. I'm a fuckin murderer." He said harshly to me. Yet he had a kindness in his eyes that showed he was happy I was trying to talk to him. I smiled "because I don't judge people as fast as them and I don't according to what rumors I hear. Who cares you made a mistake? I wanna be your friend!" I exclaimed and he just brushed me off and kept walking "I'll be your friend one way or another Liam! I promise!" I yelled after him and he turned around and threw me a small smile. "I'll hold you to that then" he smirked and walked away leaving me standing there.
        People whispering around me and I simply ignored them. "Well well would you look who's talking to the murder kid!" I was pushed into the lockers making my books fall and I glared at the people. "Go away Gabe." I said in a rough tone trying to maintain my anger. "He's only going to kill you like he did to his father. He killed his own father lily! But you're so blinded by his appearance am I right? Wow. Do those glasses even work?!" He waved his hands infront of my eyes "get away. You can't judge a person because of what you've heard! He seems really sweet!" I yelled at him. "Sweet? Man...you're whipped." He laughed and punched my gut "go away." I coughed trying to get out of his friends grasp "I'd listen to her if I were you." All heads turned to the voice and  Liam stood glaring at all the boys. "Yea and if I don't? What are you gonna do? Murder me too?" Gabe taunted. LIams eyes flickered towards me and punched Gabe in the jaw sending him flying. "Who's next?" He asked casually and all the boys ran.
           He came over to me and lifted my shirt "quite a hit you took there. Why'd you do it?" He asked me looking at the bruise starting to form on my stomach. "Because they were being rude assholes about you and they shouldn't be." I hissed as he touched it "sorry!" He looked at me worriedly "it's okay" I smiled "no I'm sorry about that and that you took a punch for a guy you barely know. I should've gotten here sooner" he cursed himself "no you had no clue, honestly it's fine" he stood up looking down at me "no, it's not and this is why we can't be friends." He walked away.
          I walked to the lunch room and sat with my usual friends. "Lil where's Niall?" Elise asked and I looked around also confused. Seeing Niall sitting with Liam made me smile and point to where he was making Elise stand up. "Why is he with Liam?!" She asked angered. "El he's his best friend let them." I said to her and she walked over completely ignoring me, "hey babe cmon sit down!" Niall invited her smiling. "No Niall why are you sitting with him?" She asked and I got up seeing liams uncomfortable state. I walked over and totally ignored the two fighting. Liam looked up at me but didn't move over. "Sorry about her" i said and he just shrugged "it's usual behavior towards me, I get it." He said. "It shouldn't be." I mumbled and he looked at me with a bit of a glare, "what?" He asked and I just shrugged walking away. "What.did.you.say?" He grabbed my shoulder turning me around "I said it shouldn't be that way!" I exclaimed making his frown go away and he just stared at me. "Li?" I asked and he just huffed "fine give me your phone." He ordered making me frown "no! Why?" "Because! Just do it." He said a bit more stern. I sighed and took out my phone and he typed stuff and gave it back smiling a bit. "Wha-" "I put my number in. Happy? But we are NOT friends. Remember that." He said quietly and walked back to Niall and Elise making out. He cleared his throat smirking at Niall who's face was red as well as Elise. She pecked his lips once more before returning to our table. "Well I'm glad that's all sorted out then?" I smirked and she blushed "yea yea whatever." She mumbled and ate quickly. "You shouldn't be hanging around that guy ya know?" She said to me suddenly and I looked at her a bit pissed "Liam? He has a name you know." I mumbled eating my salad. "Yea him, he's bad news. Probably just wants to murder you in bed ya know." She stated matter a factly. "No. He's not like that. I can't believe you would even insinuate that!" I defended Liam. "Yea well ask the police what they think about him eh?" Harry budged in. Louis just muttered a quick 'yea' before eating again. "Lil we're just trying to protect you." Harry stated making Louis look up at me "Well I think she can make her own decisions. She's not a baby Harry, let her do what she wants!" He argued for me. "Well true but...he's bad news! She'll only get her heart stomped on or her neck broken." Elise joked and I glared at her. "Aw look she already picked up his glare! What next?" She continued teasing. I nudged her and rolled my eyes. "At least Louis is on my side!" I said and Louis looked up and smiled a bit.
