Antoine would be 'disappointed' as usual but driving a car for just two blocks is just a waste. And walking is good for health as well. I mean it.

It turns out Ricky wasn't a bad teacher after all. As cocky as he might be, his teaching was well understood. Not as better as Mr. Richard but he used simple teaching techniques and honestly, today's class was fun.

I was taken by surprise as a black mustang came to a stop in front of me. I jumped back on the side walk, startled. The driver's window rolled down showing my new music teacher's face.

"Mind a ride, 'Riley'?"He asked me air quoting my name.

"I'm completely capable of walking Ricky, thank you" he may not be my teacher outside class, but I got to be polite, right?

I started walking again. I heard a car door close and footsteps behind me. I ignored him and broke into a run. I've been taught better than to accept rides from teachers who wink at me.

"Riley, please! I'm not a god damned vampire" I couldn't run any more after hearing his choice of words, because I couldn't stop myself laughing.

When Ricky reached me (walking, of course) he kept on staring at me as if I was some weird lady who just stepped out of the mental asylum. I was laughing so damned hard, I snorted. Which was very un-lady like.

"Can you please stop laughing? You're freaking me out" Ricky sounded angry.

"Sorry, but all of the words you could've used, Vampire? Are you like serious?" I asked him after I managed to control my laughter under a great difficulty.

"Well, that was the only word that crossed my mind" he told me with a really annoyed look on his face.

I pressed my lips together and turned them into a pout as a form of an apology.

"Don't do that Riley. It makes me want to kiss that pout off your lips" he told me with a mischievous smile playing at the corners of his mouth.

I stared wide eyed at him. How dare he! He's my god damned teacher!

This is a free country and we can laugh as we please. I turned around and started walking again. I should be concerned about my own safety and now it was my turn to be mad at him!

I was forced to stop when a hand grasped my wrist tightly and pulled me to a hard chest. When I say hard, like really hard.

Ricky turned me around to face him. I glared at him and looked down at my wrist, he let go of it. I slowly took a step back.

"C'mon Riley, I just want to get to know you. I'm new in town and I've got no one I know. And I just want to make new friends" Being friend is like totally harmless but I wonder whether that was his real reason. Maybe but he doesn't seem that kind of guy who would want to make friends, he was more of the kind who let people come t him and be his friend.

"Why me? Out of all those students in the class? All of them have being in town longer than you have" I wanted to know the real reason.

"Honestly, because you seemed friendly and you go to Beverly Hills Academy. I mean, it's better not be friend-less in high school" he told me smiling.

"So you're using me as an advantage?" I asked him.

He looked shocked at my question. "No! I would never! You just seem so friendly and yeah, that's why" I wasn't satisfied but whatever.

"Fine" I told him.

"Fine? Fine for what? Being my friend? Accepting my ride?"

" Being your friend" I told him specifically.

"Thanks but my ride? Are you afraid of my big black baby?" he asked me gesturing to his car.

Baby? His car? It was one hell of a baby!

"I'm not afraid of your 'baby', teacher" I said air quoting 'baby' and mocking shock.

"C'mon then. Let's take a ride in my baby, Riles" he smirked at me and went back to his car.

How the freaking hell did he find out my nick name? He must've figured it out.

Oh my god! I hope he can't read minds like Edward Cullen from Twilight. If he was a mind reader I bet he would be smarter and less cocky and sure as hell, he is not!

For a second, I stood in front of the passenger door thinking he'd open it for me. I mean, that's what a normal gentleman would do. But I looked inside the car to see him seated, buckled and all set to go.

Sure as hell, Ricky Richard is not a gentleman.

I got inside and he revved the car. A not-so-comfortable silence stood between us. It was like an instance where both of us are thinking of something to build up a conversation. But we failed.

"Where do you want to go first?" Ricky spoke after the longest and most uncomfortable silence I've ever experienced.

"Home" I told him looking straight and smirking.

"That sounds great" he smirked and stepped on the accelerator.

The car sped down the road making me scream in fear.
