Feliciano looked up at the large black train. He grabbed the small green suitcase next to him and climbed onto the train. Feliciano looked at his ticket and searched for his seat. He sat down next to the window, and put his small suitcase underneath his seat and rose. He walked to the end of the train to the cafe car and bought himself a coffee. While Feliciano was returning to his seat, a tall blonde man accidentally bumped into him and made Feliciano spill his coffee all over his shirt.
"Mein Gott! I'm so terribly sorry! Are you okay?" Feliciano looked up at the man. He had soft blue eyes and a strong jawline. Feliciano's chest burnt from the hot liquid being poured all over it.
"Yes, I'm fine. It's my fault, I wasn't watching where I was going." Feliciano hissed from the burning sensation.
"No, I take full responsibility. Let me buy you another coffee. Would you like that?" Feliciano nodded. He followed the German back to the cafe car. The man bought two coffees and sat down at a seat. The German motioned for Feliciano to sit in the chair across from where he was sitting. "I am so very sorry, My name Is Ludwig. Ludwig Beilschmidt. I'm on my way to London to visit a friend of mine." Ludwig extended a hand. Feliciano quickly shook it.
"I'm on my way to London to meet a friend, too! I'm Feliciano Vargas. Now that I think about it, your name sounds very familiar." Feliciano began to think about where he had heard Ludwig's name. "Oh! You're the author of Montgomery Dawe's Paranormal Life, aren't you?" Feliciano's focus went from his coffee cup to Ludwig.
Ludwig sat up and puffed his chest. "Why, yes I am! I'm assuming you've read it?"
"Yes, I've read it many times! I read it to my class every year! Every class I have read it to simply adored it." Wow, Feliciano thought. I cannot I am drinking coffee with one of my favorite authors!
"Oh?" Ludwig raised an eyebrow. "So, I'm assuming you're a teacher."
Feliciano happily nodded. "Yes, I am!" Feliciano exclaimed. "I teach sixth-graders in Venice." Feliciano quickly remembered something. "I will be right back." Feliciano ran back to his seat and grabbed the worn-down book from his suitcase. He rushed back to where Ludwig was sitting. "I actually have Montgomery Dawe's Paranormal Life with me right now! Would you mind signing it? My students would love that."
"Of course I will. Tell your class that I am glad they enjoyed my novel." Ludwig reached in his pocket and grabbed a pen and quickly signed the book. Ludwig snapped the lid back on the pen and handed Feliciano his copy of the book. Feliciano thanked Ludwig and sat the book next to him. "Oh, look at the time. I'm sorry, but I think I have to return to my seat and continue writing. Let me escort you back to your seat." Ludwig stood up and started walking. Feliciano followed right behind him.
Once the two returned to Feliciano's seat, Feliciano took a seat. "It was quite a pleasure to meet you, Ludwig. Thank you very much for the coffee! Have a nice time in England." Ludwig nodded and bidded goodbye to Feliciano before walking back to his seat. Feliciano could not stop thinking about Ludwig. He was so very handsome. His eyes were like bright blue lakes. Feliciano slowly Drifted to sleep.
A Few Days Later
"Attention passengers. We have arrived at our last stop, Calais, France. Thank-you for riding with us." Feliciano stood up from his seat and stretched. He grabbed his suitcase and finally got off of the train. "Ah, it's been four days since I was last outside! It sure is Beautiful out!" Feliciano exclaimed to himself. Feliciano looked at his pocketwatch "Oh no! my ship leaves in an hour! I must hurry!" Feliciano rented a small red car and drove quickly to the dock. He pulled out his ticket and quickly boarded the ship.
The pocketwatch revealed that Feliciano had two minutes to spare. He walked to his second-class cabin and unpacked his suitcase. Feliciano collapsed onto the small bed in the corner. "Ah, it feels so nice to be laying on a bed again!" Feliciano sighed. Feliciano decided to nap, because he was very weary from his long train ride.
Feliciano Still had two days until he reached England, and then another train ride to get to London. Feliciano exhaled. "Why does Arthur have to live so far away?" Feliciano closed his eyes.
Feliciano woke up in a large bed. There was someone with their arms wrapped around his torso. Feliciano turned his head and saw Ludwig sleeping next to him, breathing softly. Feliciano's face lit up in a bright smile. Ludwig shifted, and opened his bright blue eyes. He saw Feliciano staring at him and smiled. "Good Morning, Feli." Ludwig leaned over and gently pressed a kiss onto Feliciano's lips. "I love you."
Feliciano woke in his small bed in his room on the ship. Feliciano felt disappointed when he saw no one laying next to him. It was all just a dream. Feliciano frowned. He swung his legs over the side of the bed. He looked at the clock on the nightstand. It read 1:45. Oh my goodness! I have been asleep for eighteen hours! I am so very far behind on my lesson plans now! Feliciano jumped up and quickly dressed.
Feliciano walked to the front of the ship and sat on a deck chair. He took out his notebook and pen and began to plan classes for the upcoming school year. Feliciano heard someone sit down next to him, but paid no mind to it. "Well, what a surprise it is to see you here." Feliciano heard a deep German accent and looked up. Ludwig was sitting right next to him.
"Oh, hello Ludwig! I was just planning lessons for my class. How are you today?" Feliciano got very excited, because he was almost certain that he would never see Ludwig again.
"I am well, thank you. It sure is a lovely day today, isn't it? I would love to stay on this ship forever, but I must visit my friend, Francis. Francis is from France, but he is living with one of his close friends." Feliciano's eyes widened.
"Oh my goodness! My friend, Arthur Kirkland, who I am going to visit, lives with his friend Francis! Could it be possible that we are talking about the same people?"
"It would be quite extraordinary if that was the case, but it is very unlikely. I'm sorry, but I must go. It was nice getting to see you again. tschüß!"
"Ciao, Ludwig!" Feliciano waved at the man walking away. Oh no. Feliciano thought to himself. I think I have gotten myself into something terrible. I think I've fallen in love with Ludwig.
