Hey guyz.At the media is a pix of Hayley.

*****

Mrs Cooper is just going on and on about 'the cell' or whatever she calls it in bore-o-logy while I doodle in my diary about so many stuff bothering my mind.

Dad had been in some serious debt due to some 'slight'  gambling problem and my mom was always the one begging those evil gangsters of men to hold out until we settled them. Well... You can say that my life is just not the perfect all-american type.

"Okay, class. That's all for today. Class dismissed", Mrs Cooper says, shooing us away like as though we are a pack of dirt. I am even glad for it. Who wants to be in her class anyways?

I quickly put my stuff together and scramble away from the class off to the cafeteria since it is lunch time.

If there was to be only one thing I love about Westfield high, it would be their food. Hell! It's amazing.

Like today, I order some taco bells-Yeah... They do sell it here- and I move over to the usual table occupied by I and my besties.

Well, let me introduce you to them. There's Jade, the goth one, she is very... May I say,harm-inflicting?

Then there's Jess, the girlie girl that spends her time shopping and secretly crushing on every hot boy in the school.

Well that's that.

At the table is seated Jess and she is, of course, talking to one random boy and obviously flirting with him.

"Hi Hayley", she says, sparing me only one glance as she continues flirting with him.

I grit my teeth and reply her. "Hi, Jess... And random guy?"

"Oh hi"the random guy said, looking up from whatever they were doing. "The name's Tom actually".

"Yeah.. Yeah. Nice to meet you", I say, dropping my lunch on the table and sitting down to savour its delicious taste.

Soon after, the guy waves off a goodbye to Jess and walks off to his friends whom I practically tag as a group of losers. They hang around school all day, skipping classes and entrapping girls to sleep with them with their deceitful charmingness.

I am not a full nerd in the sense that I hate school, but you can refer to me as a half-nerd because I am a typical good girl, always attending classes even though my spirit, soul and body are in China.

"So... Hayley. What do you think of Tom?"she asks me,with excitement in her voice.

"I am fine thank you?", I reply her. She obviously knows that she just forgot her manners. She quickly apologizes and asks the question she had just previously asked me.

"Um... Jess.Quick advice but I think you should stop flirting with that guy.He obviously only wants to sleep with you", I advise her.

"Yeah, I know"

What! I exclaim in my mind. My virginity was something I had sworn to give to no one else but my husband and there was no one that was going to make me break my vow.

Yeah, I don't have the perfect normal family but mom always teaches me the inportance of  responsibility hence, my taking a vow on my virginity.

"Ookay"I say awkwardly. "I'm just gonna run along to my house. See you in school tomorrow?", I ask her.

"Yeah sure. Take care ", Jess says and returns to eating her lunch.

I grab my backpack and head out of the school compound to the bus-station to take a bus to my house that is a forty minutes walk from the school.

Finally, the bus drops me off and I walk down to the other side of town where my house is located.

I bust the closed door open and I yell. "Anybody home? Am back!"

No reply.

Shrugging, I head over to my room to dump by bag and watch some television.

Moments after, I hear the old familiar revving sound of our car pull up into the driveway as I peep through the window and Mom and Ernie alight from it, holding some groceries.

They bust in through the door and I am greeted by the face of my cute ten years old brother.

"Hey there. How was school today? "I ask him, pinching his chubby little cheeks.

" I am a big boy, Hayley. You don't have to pinch my cheeks everytime you see me", he says, glaring at me.

"Ok. Ok. Message received", I say, chuckling to myself. Big boy indeed. He still sucks his hands whenever he wants to go to sleep!

"Hi mom. How was your day? ", I ask mom, following her as we enter the kitchen to drop off the groceries and Ernie storms off to his room, obviously happy that school was finally closed for the day.

" It was fine honey. How was school? "

" Boring, as usual", I reply casually.

"Don't worry. It is very normal. You just have to make sure that you keep up with the school work and study hard for every test thrown at you", mom advises, sitting on a chair to massage her legs.

"Okay, mom", I say, rolling my eyes and returning to the sitting room to continue watching the t.v before Ernie got there before me. Yeah, we struggle for the remote like most siblings do.

I sigh in relief when I see the couch empty and I plop down on it,enjoying the reality tv show, Family Feud. It is my favorite show.

***

It is in the evening at 9:30pm and dad's not home yet. Even mom is getting a bit worried as I see her shadow prancing up and down about the kitchen.

Dad normally doesn't stay out late. He works in a small-time artists studio where they make and sell artworks. Normally, he gets home at 6:00pm but I wonder what could be holding him up and worst still, his phone line is unreachable.

After thirty more excruciating minutes of wandering around and waiting in fear, the door busts open and dad comes in, totally drunk.

What the hell had happened? Dad never drinks unless he is too excited but what could he possibly be so excited about?

We rush over to his side and carry him over to lie on the couch with Ernie removing his socks and gently massaging his feet. Boy! That boy is good.

"Good news, people.Very good news! ", dad chants, his voice slurred with alcohol."Hayley... Hayley... Hayley ",dad says, sounding amused at how my name sounded in his mouth.          "You are going to get married to the prince of Norway in a months time!"

I freeze up.

What!!
