1.1- Sasuke's Girl

Name: Akari

Age: 14

Hobbies: reading, drawing. Is a substitute ninja in Team 7 when needed. Works part time at the library.

Personality: Nice, sweet, loves to read. Keeps to herself but loves to talk when good friends with someone. Rarely talks when in a bad mood.

Looks: Average height, skinny build and frame, blue eyes and white elbow-length hair. Wears shorts and tank top with belt and ninja sandals.

I looked up at Sakura's smiling face. "Y-you want me to come to a party?"

"Sure!" She said excitedly. "It's tonight at 7, at my house. My parents think it's a celebration for something at the academy, but they'll be out all night. We'll all be there- Naruto, TenTen, Shikamaru- even Sasuke! A whole afternoon spent with my Sasuke-kun..." Sakura trailed off, staring down at her hands and her cheeks went pink.

"Sakura-"

"Oh yes! Sorry about that. So anyway, I've gotta go, hope to see you there!"

I was left standing at my doorstep, watching Sakura's retreating back. I looked down at the scrap of paper she pressed into my hand with a expression of complete surprise. It had Sakura's address and the time of the so-called gathering.

I wasn't sure whether to go or not. Not because I'm anti-social, but because parties aren't my sort of thing. Crowds of people, talking, pushing and handing out drinks. I'd rather not be in the middle of that.

And what if someone random tries starting a conversation with me? I only really talk to TenTen, Temari or Hinata.

What do I do?

I left the scrap of paper on the table and looked at the alarm clock. 6:10, it read. My older brother comes home at 6:30, and the party starts at 7. I went to my room to get ready.

I looked through the clothes in my draw. How formal was this 'gathering'? Do I just throw on a shirt and jeans? I buried my head in my clothes and let out a loud yell.

I heard the front door close and footsteps. "Akari? Was that you? What on earth are you doing?!"

My brother? Is it 6:30 already? How did I spend this much time looking for an outfit?

I lifted my head and hit it on the higher draw. I rubbed my head and looked at my older brother.

"I'm going to a gathering tonight."

He looked at me once over and gave me a look. "Are you ok? You don't usually stress this much. And over a party? Is someone interesting going?"

I shook my head. My brother shrugged and walked out. "I'll see you before 9:30. Don't stay out too late."

I went back to my outfit hunting and final decided on a light blue long-sleeved shirt and jeans. I put on my sandals and tied my white hair in a loose ponytail. I nodded at my reflection in the mirror and left the house with the scrap of paper.

After a few minutes of walking, I found Sakura's house. There were already people there, but I was surprised they were all classmates I talked to. I let out a sigh of relief. I opened the door and made my way to the main room.

There were mugs of tea on tables and platters of sweet buns and dumplings on benches. Everyone was chatting and I was taking in the scene when I felt a soft tap on my shoulder.

I turned to see Hinata, shyly smiling at me.

"Hey Akari!"

"Hinata! Hello! How's everything?"
