Chapter Five

Ch. 5
'New Friends.....I Thought You Were Busy'

I sat there watching as Harry pulled up. his facial expression questioning as he eyed my new friend. I giggled.

"Who's that?" Harry questioned raising an eyebrow.

"my new friend" I said with a huge grin on my face. he chuckled.

"C'mon love" he smirked. I smiled nodding. I started to walk with my new pet.

"can he come to?" I asked Harry nodding towards my new dog. he looked at me with wide eyes. he winced slightly.

"sure but he's going in the back" Harry stated. Harry opened the back door for my German shepherd to hop in which he did. I smiled as Harry opened the passenger door for me. I hopped in, with Harrys aid. I mumbled a 'thank you' as I got in. he closed the door jogging over to his side.

"so what's his name?" Harry asked. I squinted my eyes in concentration. Harry chuckled. "how 'bout Max?" he suggested. I bit my bottom lip pondering over the idea. I smiled nodding.

"That's great name" I said to Harry. "Thanks" he smiled.

"glad you liked it" he grinned turning the car on and backing out of the parking lot. I looked out the passenger window. wondering if I should bring up Harrys wound.

"how's your bandage?" I asked. Harrys body tensed at my question.

"Fine" he said. authority clear in his voice that I shouldn't ask further questions on how it happened.

"Do they need to be changed?" I asked in concern. he smirked glancing at me.

"you know if you wanted to see me shirtless again all you had to do was ask" he chuckled. my eyes widened as I squeaked. my face heating up as the image of Harry shirtless popped in my head. I looked to my lap wanting to get out of the car now. I jumped hearing Max bark. I looked to the back seat. I shrieked as I felt a large wet tongue lick my cheek.

"Max!" I groaned, pushing his face away. he sat back slightly, staying between mine and Harrys seat. I giggled, watching Max pant with his tongue out. Harry smiled.

I sighed happily as I sat with Max in my lap. he was too big so he just had his head in my lap.

"So Max what do you think about Harry?" I smiled asking him. I giggled as he barked and wagged his tail. "so I guess you like him?" I said grinning. he barked again panting.

"Yeah" I sighed. "I like him too" I said softly as I lightly scratched behind his ear. I giggled seeing Max shake his right foot rapidly.

"Hey sweetie I'm about to leave anything you need before I go?" my mother called out .

"no thanks mom I'm good!" I said back to her.

"alright well remember if you want that dog in here he needs a bath first!" my mother reminded me. I chuckled lightly shaking my head.

"Yes mother"

"Bye honey I love you"

"I love you mom"

I sighed.

"you're gonna be tough to give a bath huh?" I asked looking at Max. he whimpered rolling over to his back trying to look cute.

it was working.

I smiled shaking my head. my head snapped to the inside of the house as I heard the door bell ring. I got up dusting dog hair off me. I made my way to the door. I stood on my toes to look through the peephole and saw flowers.
