America had ran without thinking and was now extremely lost. All he knew was that he was in the infirmary. But where that was exactly located in the school he had no idea. "That was the scariest thing I have ever seen in my entire life." He said to no one in particular. "I separated myself from England... That was smart..." He looked around the room and just felt more creped out. He felt like something would come out at him from behind the curtains at any moment. He was sitting on the beds in the corner of the room. He scooted his way back into the corner where he pulled his legs tight against him and hid his face in his knees. Here in this haunted school America was truly frightened. Nothing had really scared him before other than watching scary horror ghost movies, even hearing a ghost story would wig him out. But this... This was just too much. A real haunted school with real ghosts, and he had no idea if they were friendly of not. In all the stories he had ever heard they were never nice, "Okay in a situation like this you always stay in one spot so the people that are looking for you can find you...." America stayed there in the corner shivering and hoping that nothing would come for him there. Wishing he never ran away in the first place.
England had found the front door and when he tried to open it... It surprisingly opened with ease. He looked back down the hall and thought, 'I can't just leave America here. But if I could get help... He might be dead by then.' His thoughts were cut off by a nasty gust of wind. England glanced outside at the forest. He felt nothing but darkness coming from it. "Even if I did go out there it wouldn't lead to anything..." He said to himself." as he closed the door and headed back into the school. "Getting out of here is going to be very difficult..." As England moved down the hall he could hear a series of loud sounds coming from the second floor. He decided it would be okay to investigate.
Still hiding in the corner of the infirmary America kept his face buried. He refused to look up. For fear of something popping out at him. That is until a voice asked him if he was alright. "Who's there?" He asked his voice a little shaky. The voice sounded sweet,
"I'm the school nurse. Are you hurt?" America not really thinking thought this was a good thing. Someone that could help him. But he hadn't seen any other humans in this school... He looked up very slowly... Big mistake. There right up in his face was a woman. It wouldn't have been so bad if it didn't look like her neck was completely broken to the point where her head fell to the side in such an unnatural way. White bone stuck out completely visible. All color faded from America's face as he attempted to back up, but since he had stashed himself into the corner there was nowhere for him to go. In pure panic he let out a blood curdling scream that reviled that of a terrified high school girl. He attempted to escape to the foot of the beds, but the woman was much faster than him. She grabbed him by the neck and didn't just attempt to chock him but was slowly moving in such a way to brake it, Just like her own. America was gasping for air as he tried his best to call for help.
"E-England..." He managed to sputter but the ghost wasn't about the let go. Her grin was unearthly as she pushed down harder on his neck he couldn't breathe at all now. He was starting to think that this was the end for him as he closed his eyes. He didn't even want to see the disturbing face of his killer as he died. Even though that face was burnt in his mind. Though he thought for a moment that he could hear someone calling his name... He opened his eyes and noticed that he was lying on the beds now and the woman who had a hold of him earlier was on the other side of the room. America's throat really hurt as he took in a shaky breath. He must have been holding his breath he has no idea when she had let him go. But he forced himself to get up and look around. England was at the door with a book open in his hand. There seemed to be an aura around him that was just calming down. He now moved towards America and grabbed him by the wrist.
"Come on we have to go. I think I just really pissed her off!" America was now yanked off of the beds and lead towards the door. He was still quite dizzy and had to be dragged all the way there. England pulled him through the door then let him go, causing him to fall to the floor. England whirled around to close the door behind him just in time to see the ghostly woman charge the door. "Shit!" Moving swiftly England slammed the door shut and slapped a paper charm of some sort onto the it, he said something that made absolutely no sense to America. The air around them and the door seemed to change some. America was trying to look up at what was going on but he flinched and tried to hide when something hit the door and it made a very loud bang. The woman inside seemed to hiss. she announced in an eerie voice,
"I'm going to kill you." America shuttered, England shook his head,
"Alright infirmary is off limits." He was staring at the door until he heard America cough behind him. He looked over his shoulder and sighed. Now kneeling beside the younger nation he said, "This time don't go running off by yourself okay?" America could do nothing but nod. "Good. Now we need to find some information if we are ever going to have any chance of getting out of here." America nodded again. England helped him up off the floor and the two of them began exploring the school again. America shaking like a leaf the whole way. It made England wish he could do more for him. But the only thing he could do was to do his best to get them out. "So some of the people who have died in here are willing to speak to the living. One told me that the others are here as well, but we are not in the same space. It's difficult to explain but to get to the others we are going to have to connect the spaces somehow." America looked very confused,
"Do you have any Ideas on how to do that?"
"No not yet that's why we need to get some information. Maybe we can ask some more of the spirits they might know something. Fortunately most are young so they speak English fairly well." America looked horrified for a moment. First of all America didn't want to talk to any spirits and second how could England find it fortunate that most of the victims in this school were students?
"fortunate? Most of them are young? From what I've seen they are all students! How can you say that's fortunate?" England sighed,
"Sorry... It's not fortunate for them... But it is fortunate for us. Though you do read a lot of Japans books and watch his cartoons. Do you think you might be able to read some of the notes on the walls?"
" Yeah but those books are all translated into English. I do watch a lot of subbed anime though. I'm not that good at reading it... I can try. I can understand it spoken out loud a lot better." They tested this out on a nearby note. America studied it for a very long time. After almost 20 min he turned around, "Sorry all I could get out of it was something about not running in the halls...."
"That's alright, better then what I could do." Ever since the infirmary America was trying his best to help but he constantly looked like he was going to cry, England really couldn't blame him though. He couldn't even really tell him that everything was going to be okay, and he defiantly couldn't just tell him there is no such thing as ghosts anymore. England honestly didn't know what to do about America. He really could not afford him running off again though he had to do something to try and keep him calm. "Let's take a brake okay?"
