The begging

I am a very straight forward person. I am brutally honest. I like facts. And proof. My name is Amber. I am fifteen. I am a killjoy. But I work alone. I have a wolf, his name is Blaze. Korse is out to kill me. I am a "legal" assassin. But... Then again, everyone in Battery City is. Anyways, I'm 5'11", 130 lbs, and I like to fight.
Now, onto my story. Onto the begging.

-Two Days Earlier-
I have been hiding. It was a tough run from one state to the dessert. Surprisingly, there are still some trees, a hidden forest, were I reside... Temporarily. Korse has been following me, and I'm not sure what to do. As I was planning out my next attack on the heart of Battery City, I heard a loud THUMP THUMP THUMP on the door of my wooden house. Blaze stood, his hackles rose. He let lose a long low growl. I stood and grabbed my gun. I glanced out the window, which was hidden from the outside. I saw four men. A man with firey red hair, a man with fluffy brown hair, a man with blonde-ish hair, and a short man. My heart froze. My breath became rapid and slightly panicked. I gotta get away. How did they find me?! Wait... Thise aren't Korse's men... I was so confused. Then the noise came again. THUMP THUMP THUMP Oh god. I gathered up all my strength. Blaze was now growling and howling. "WHOS THERE" I demanded. "Your sanity" said a slightly deep voice. Then I heard the snickers coming from outside. Keep holding strong. They are probably not on your side. I thought. Blaze's hackles were up, his teeth bared in a mean snarl. "I'll let my Wolf loose on you. Leave. Last chance." I warned. They still said once more "listen, we just need a favor" well you sure as hell ain't gettin it from me I thought. "What?" I said angrily. "Please let us in. It's not safe out side." One of them said. "I'm smarter than that. These are my black woods. Go away. Go burn in the cracked, hot desert." I wasn't expecting what came next.
They men busted my door in. Blaze was first to react, and he launched himself at the intruders. And half a second later my gun was out. And aimed at them. They all looked at me in shock.... This is your house. These are your woods. This is my territory. They are intruders. Just. Shoot. But I couldn't. It was as if the world moved in slow motion, Blaze took two to the ground, trusting me to get the other two. A short man swung at me, and so did the red-headed one. I shot the short one in the gut, and pistol whipped the other. Dread filled my soul. Then it got worse. None of them were dead, just all unconscious. I I looked through there possessions, I saw a picture of the four, from The Better Times. Back when Battery City was not a possesed Hell Hole. Back when we all had happiness, and love wasn't lost, when families weren't torn apart because of Korse. When BL/ind Industries wasn't in control. I started remembering those days. The days when Emerald was still alive, the days that I still had my parents. Tears swelled in my eyes. Then a noise startled me out of the trans. I turned around and saw the four men waking up. Now grant it, I had them tied up in a back room... But still. As they woke, they all asked who I was. "I'm Flame Detonator." They all looked at me. "And you aaaaaareeeee?" I looked at them expectingly. The red-head spoke "I'm Party Poision," He looked towards the short one "That's Fun Ghoul, the blonde is Kobra Kid, and that big guy," he motions towards the man with an afro, "that's Jet Star" I looked at them all. What if... I have to keep these guys until I know I'm safe, I knew what to do. "Gentleman, I have a purposal." They all looked at me and i grinned. "I'll help you," I paused "IF and ONLY IF, you help me. Like a covert operation." They all looked at me. Party Poision's eyes gleamed. "Ok" he said. "But we have a counter offer. We'll help you if you help us, but you have to take a vow in killjoy honor." How bad can that be? It's just a phrase or two... Right? Wrong. They took me to a cold place, covered in white, a training ground.

They told me a killjoy was to kill every enemy. Turned friend, or foe... They took me out into the fluffy white stuff, gave me a sheet of paper and yelled "GO!" I read the sheet as I ran.
"You are to kill all that crosses you. Some are just wood, some are real. Kill. Fights are permitted. You have 2 minutes to complete this course. You're main mission, kill the man in charge, Korse. Don't make us have to kill you.
-The Killjoys"
I did as instructed, running and jumping, shooting and fighting. I was keeping mental time. And tracking my progress. 90% through the course, 1:05-1:06. I can do this. As I rounded the corner, I saw a wooden Korse surrounded by a living army. FUCK!!! My mind raced. The army advanced. You're in the middle of the woods. The world is covered in fluffy white stuff. I saw a motion of a red mop. Party Poision. I need to keep him away. THINK. Then it hit me. I fired into the crowd. 3/7 vampires went down. 1:29 . I reacted. I had a head shot. I shot the Korse dummy. And the rest is a blur. 3 Vampires advanced. I shot 2. The other two came hauling ass. They wanted me dead. I RKOed one, and shot the other. But I didn't make it out without a scar or two, a long thick, deep gash ran across my eye, from my hairline, down to the corner of my mouth. Over my eye, and it was bleeding terribly. I grabbed the white stuff off the ground and held it to my face. 1:57-1:58 the Killjoys ran out to me. My face was numb from what they called snow. This was pain I was used to... Kind of.

Party Poision helped me into a bandage, and asked if I was ok. "I'm fine" in minutes, I couldn't feel my face. And I didn't for 3 months. ANYWAYS, I was accepted. And there was no going back. Time would only tell if I was what they COMPLETELY needed.

~3 weeks later~
I still can't feel my face, and we all have traveled together. We have all worked as a team, and they say I'm exactly like all of them. I'm not sure how. They say I'm a leader like Party, a skilled fighter like Ghoul, a stealthier fighter like Jet, and a warrior like Kobra. I must admit... I was what they were looking for. That thought made me smile. I found a place to fit in.
