The sun was rising, the mountains glistening
And an only path was showing ahead of us
A lonely road, going straight forward across the desert and the dry fields
My eyes wide open like it was the first time
My breathing going slow but making me feel more alive than ever
Lying in the backseat, a blanket up my neck
The sun piercing through the window
Shooting into my eyes
Then I felt his breath in my hair
Caressing my cold cheeks
It felt like time had stopped
His hand fell on my thigh and I knew that I wasn't the only one the sun had woken up
But we weren't talking
The silence was singing in the wind
I turned my head to see brown hair
The following second, my eyes were
shut once more
No need for words, but the kiss was meaningful enough
One hand in his hair
The other on his lower back
Then the sound of doors and the car starting again
There was a lonely path ahead of us
And we decided to take it
Because that was how we were alone together.
