My Life With Eva

Chapter 1

"Hey, what's up you guys?" I say, my biggest smile plastered onto my face. I love making YouTube videos, but sometimes it can be a bit demanding. Like when you have a boring day and don't have anything to vlog on Vlogmas and you get spammed with tweets and comments. If you couldn't tell I was having one of those days.
Right now I was making a haul video. (A/N If you didn't know a haul video is where a youtuber makes a video showing what they bought when they went shopping )
I had gotten so much Christmas stuff. I guess you could say I'm a holiday junkee of some sorts. My apartment was always decorated the day right after Black Friday, or earlier of course.
After showing off my 5 new Christmas sweaters, 2 new Christmas leggings, 6 new ordainments, and of course my new Christmas candles, (I'm kind of obsessed) I called my bestfriend Teala to go get some Starbucks with me. All I really wanted was a pumpkin spice latte. This Christmas haul had put me into a festive mood.
"Hey girl!" I said as Teala answered the phone.
"Hi Eva!" She said back as she laughed.
"So....... You want to go get some coffee at......"
"Starbucks?!" She finished.
"Of course I will!"
"Haha okay, text me when you get to my apartment." I said
"Okay, bye girl!" She said as she hung up.
I smiled and went to go get dressed.
I grabbed a black turtle neck and paired it with a red plaided skirt and a black leather jacket.
I straitened my long blonde hair and did my basic makeup routine.
I grabbed my cat Paris and pulled her onto my lap while I sat on the couch.
"Hey baby girl," I cooed as I stroked her long fur between my fingers.
I sat there and snuggled with her for a few minutes until I heard the bing of a text alert. I ready the text (it was from Teala).
T: Hey I'm down stairs, ready when you are xx
I grabbed my bag, said goodbye to Paris and headed out the door. When I reached the lobby I saw Teala with her back turned away from the stairs. I tiptoed up to her and grabbed her shoulders.
"Boo!"
"Ahhhhh" She screamed.
I started laughing and she turned and gave me a glare.
"Eva you suck!" She exclaimed as she started chuckling.
"I know!" I snorted.
"Let's go while you still have two functioning legs!" She said as she hit my arm.

We got out of the car and entered the cafe. I looked around and smiled. Just because they only had red on the cups didn't mean that they wouldn't decorate for the holidays. There were snowflakes all around the place. The shelves were stocked with Christmas cups and ordainments. I could smell the aromas of the different coffees and drinks.
"How about you grab a table and I'll order the coffees, my treat," I said with a smile.
"Okay thanks Eva," she said as she went to get us a table by the window looking out on California's streets.
I stood in line as I took in all of the cafe, marveling in the feel of the Christmas Starbucks. It made me feel at home. As cheesy as that sounds.
"Um, ma'am?" A raspy young voice asks. I look over and realize that there was no longer a line in front of me. My cheeks flush with embarrassment.
"Sorry," I said as I walked up to the register.
"I was just taking it all in." I said as I made eye contact with the boy in front of me. My heart stopped for a second.
The boy in front of me had dark brooding eyes, tan skin, and soft brown hair.
"I could tell," the boy said with a judgmental look.
I furrow my eyebrows. Determined to do something that would wipe that look off his face.
"I'll have a double shot of espresso and a pumpkin spice latte for my friend." I said with a confident look  on my face.
"Wow," he said with an unimpressed look on his face.
"Name?" He asked as he pulled out a sharpie and a cup.
"Eva. E-v-a," I said, knowing if I didn't he would spell it wrong.
"And your friend?"
"Teala."
"Okay," he said.
"How much will it be?" I asked.
"It's on me."  He said with a wink.
"Um, thanks.." I stuttered as I went to go sit down.
I sat down across from Teala.
"Wow."
"What happened?" She asked with interest.
"Hot Starbucks guy. That's what."
"Wow, go Eva!" She said laughing.
I just smiled and looked over to where the boy was working on making our coffees.
"Eva and Teala!" He called out.
"You know, I think I have a leg cramp, could you please go get my coffee for me?"
I roll my eyes at her and stood up.
I walk over to our cups and pick them up. I look at the names and giggle. Next to my name in parenthesis it read (basic white girl). And underneath it had phone digits.
He look at me with an eyebrow raised. 
"I don't even know your name!" I laughed.
"Derek."
"Excuse me?" I asked.
"My name's Derek," he said with a smile.
"Well, thanks Derek," I said with a smile.
