4 Days Until Prom

I recently just found out I may not be able to go to Prom. Because I'll have to fly to New York to talk about my plans after I graduate with my record label. I've tried everything I tried to see if I can schedule the meeting to another day,but nope. Ceira is going to be so upset when she finds out.

I don't even know how to tell her in all honesty. But I have to tell her sooner because Prom is right around the corner. I'll probably tell her later on today after school since were gonna hang out.

I had just pulled up to P.F. Changs while Ceira was pulling in after me. We both got out cars heading to the entrance,I held the door for Ceira as she walked in. Once we got seated our waiter came over and took our orders. I got the Beef and Brocoli and Ceira got the Honey Chicken.

"So how was your day." She asked after taking a sip of her Sprite
"It was alright,my science substitute was getting on my nerves." I said shaking my head
"What he or she do?" She said
"He kept on trying to take my phone but I didn't give it up. Then he threatened he was gon call security but never did. And the manz breath smelled just like shit,all up in my face." I said
Ceira started laughing
"But enough of about me,how was your day baby?" I asked
"It was cool,Ooh my mom texted me and told me my dress came in the mail today!! And my aunt is gonna do my hair and my cousins gonna do my makeup. I'm so excited for prom, aren't you?"She asked sounding excited
"This makes it even worse,I don't wanna tell her. But I have to eventually." I thought to myself
"Yeah baby I am." I said kind of uneasy
About 10 minutes later our food came and we began eating. I couldn't get off my mind that I had to tell her about the meeting on our prom day.
"Uhm Ceira I gotta tell you something." I said putting my fork down
"What is it?" She said continuing to eat
"I don't think I'll be able to make it to Prom." I said moving a little in my chair
She stopped chewing and placed her fork down
"Wha-What do you mean?" She asked
"The CEO of my record label wants to have a meeting with my agent and I to talk about what my plans are for after I graduate." I said nervously
"Wh-Why can't you guys schedule it on another day or something. Why does it have to be on Prom day." She said
I could her voice starting to change
"I've tried everything baby honestly,I didn't want this to happen. The CEO said that the only day he's ava-GCO
"Can I get you guys anything else?" The waiter asked
"Can I have a to-go box please." Ceira said lowly
"Sure" The waiter said
"Baby I'm sorry,I know how much this day means to you. I'm really sorry." I said trying to grab her hand but she moved it away
Ceira was holding her head very low
"Baby can you please say something." I said
There was still silence,our waiter brought her box.
When she looked up I saw tears streaming down her face. She was still crying as she was quickly putting her food in the box.
"Baby I'm sorry please say something anything!!" I pleaded
"I wish you would've let me know earlier before I got my hopes up. This was suppose to be one of the best nights of my life Chris." She said trying to dry her tears but they continued to come down
She grabbed her to-go box and purse running out the door.
"CEIRA CEIRA" I shouted running after her
She quickly got in her car and drove off I began to run after her but there was no use. She was already far down the road.

I stood on the side walk"FUCK" I shouted holding my hands behind my head.
I went back in to the resturaunt getting a to-go box and then paying the bill.
I drove home trying to call Ceira multiple times but it just went straight to voicemail.

After I took my shower I just went straight to my bed laying down on my back looking at the ceiling.

I can't believe Chris isn't going to make it Prom. I spent all this money and planning to be put down like what the fuck. Chris continues to call my phone constantly but I refuse to pick up. I'm just too upset right now to talk to him or anybody. While I was taking my shower I just broke down crying.

I just couldn't take the fact that I wasn't gonna go to Prom with Chris. I got the shower and put on my night clothes. I needed someone to talk to, I decided to facetime Aniyah.

I waited a minute or so until she picked up.

Aniyah:Hey Girl,whats wrong look like you been crying alot."
Me:Yeah I just found out Chris isn't going to be able to make it to prom.
Aniyah:WHAT WHY?!?
Me:'Cause he has some type of record label meeting in New York
Aniyah:Why can't he reschedule it or somethin
Me:Thats what I said but he said he tried everything(i said while rubbing my eyes)
Aniyah:Wow I'm sorry to hear that. You think your going to still go to Prom?
Me: Nope
Aniyah:WHAT WHY?!? Prom is everything we've dreamed of since we were little
Me:I know but I don't want to go to Prom without the guy I really love.
Aniyah:Well thats understandable,I still think you should go though.
Me:Mm I don't know but its getting late and I have homework to do. I'll see you in the morning
Aniyah:Alright girl goodnight
Me:Night

Then we both clicked off, I finished my homework within an hour and then just got under the covers listening to music. I then started tearing up again,I tried to stop but I couldn't. My heart was filled with so many emotions.

Before I fully closed my eyes Chris sent me a text saying:

"Baby I am truly sorry I wish I could change the date of the meeting. Please text or call me back! I'm really sorry and I love you very much."

I left him on read and clicked on the homepage and turned off my phone.
