~Eternal Flame - The Vampire Diaries~

*PART 1*

I stood there waiting in the rain, alone and dripping with water. I knew Stefan was never coming back but I wasn't going to give up, just like he never gave up on me.

Somewhere in the distance I could see a boy walking towards me. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a black leather jacket over the top and black jeans. I knew even from a mile away

that it wasn't Stefan but the boy looked mysterious and down right gorgeous.

When the boy finally reached me he looked even wetter than I do. I knew it was rude but I couldn't stop staring. I quickly snapped back to reality and realised he was talking to me.

"Umm hi, sorry to bother you but Im lost" said the boy.

"Oh um it's no problem at all. Where are you going?" I replied.

"We'll I was trying to find the Salvatore boarding house. Would you be able to guide me there?" He asked just a bit impatiently.

I stood there stunned. Did he just say Salvatore boarding house....... The boy was looking at me with beautiful blue eyes. He looked about my age, maybe a couple of years older. Coming to think it, he actually looks a bit like Stefan.

"Yes. Follow me" I said trying to sound casual.

While we were walking I was trying to remember whether Stefan said he had a brother or not. I think he said he does but he didn't talk to him very often. Could this be the brother he was talking about?

When we finally got to the boarding house the boy asked me if I wanted to come in. So I followed him inside. He looked around for a moment then turned to me.

"I'm Damon, who are you?" Said the boy.

"Oh...um... I'm Elena" I said staring into Damon's piercing blue eyes when I heard a loud noise.

BANG!

"What was that?" I asked Damon.

"I have no idea" he replied. "I'll go and check."

I followed Damon into the dining room. On the floor was a broken glass bottle of whiskey. The carpet around it was soaked with the liquid that was inside the bottle. I seen a movement in the corner. It came towards me as quickly as a flash of lightning. Then there was nothing. The blackness swallowed me up as I fell.....
