This story is missing one very loved Avenged brother, Jimmy The Rev Sullivan who will be with us always! So if you don’t want to read it I understand and please don’t feel obligated. I love all of my fans no matter what and I hope you realize it made me sad to write it but it needed to be wrote, I felt it was almost meant to be… so other than that If your still reading I hope you enjoy.

“Melody! Melody!” I closed my eyes tightly trying to keep the light from the flashlight from burning my eyes. In the background my cd changed to So Far Away by Avenged Sevenfold. It was a song that usually brought tears to my eyes. 

“Danny you have to stop sneaking around.” I said sighing. Danny, who was my best friend since second grade when she kneed the principal in his man junk for yelling at me, laughed rubbing my horse on it’s nose. Audrey, my horse of two years leaned into her hand as Danny grinned widely. 

“Fine, then I won’t tell you who asked me to marry him, again.” She crossed her arms pouting. I laughed shaking my head, everyone wanted to marry her, she was pretty, rich, and as of two weeks ago the daughter of the town mayor. 

“I’m sorry it’s just that it’s two in the morning and I’m supposed to be sleeping, I have two therapy sessions tomorrow and mom said not to be up all night.” I said handing Audrey a sugar cube. Therapy were basically treatments to help disabled kids get stronger in some aspects of their disabilities. Once a week I saw two children from different families, who couldn't stand, walk, or even speak clearly. 

My parents ran the actual program but when I was home from college I asked to help out. So I gave therapy to Jane, who was thirteen and Amber, who was seven. Danny nodded smiling again. “Ricky asked me!” She said excitedly. She didn't love him, she loved the attention. I smiled anyways.. I mean who cared? They only wanted her as a trophy. 

“From the super market?” I asked knowing she'd give me the are you F~king kidding me look that made me laugh. "I'm joking." I said closing Audrey's stall door. She nodded pouting again. "What are you doing here by the way?" I asked curiously.

"My dad threw me out again." She said tearing up as her eyes went to the wall. I clenched my teeth. He was a good guy on the surface but when it came to being a father he sucked big time. 

"What did he do?" I asked in a deathly calm voice. 

"Nothing, my boyfriend came over and knocked on the wrong window..." she shrugged wiping at her eyes. "He just yelled This time." 

I sighed in relief hugging her. "You can stay with me tonight." I said as we made our way to the house. I had a second twin bed in my room for when she slept over. It would be just like high school.. except now we didn't have to worry about homework, teachers, or passing gym.

I opened my eyes feeling sleepy.  “Get up right now! Melody did you stay up all night?” My mom’s usually happy voice cut into my head like knifes.. Danny had kept me up the rest of the night.. I glanced at the clock.. It was just after ten.. I had officially gotten three hours of sleep.
