I wake up to another day in Hailey Vaughns life. I manage to get out of bed and walk to the bathroom, take a quick shower and brush my teeth. I look myself in the mirror and notice a small hickey. Very Classy Hailey. I remember then, my night with Alexandre. I take a deep breath and make my way to the hallway.

I walk by the guest room and see my boy toy's shirt on the floor, it was a white American Eagle Tee. I picked it up and threw it in the trash. You might ask, why? Well, because Alexandre is a wealthy jerk and can easily afford a new one.

I have a couple important people in my life, my two best friends who have been dating since forever! Mackenzie Hale and Joshua Peterson, my little sister Chloe and my dad Harley Vaughn. My dad is the coolest dad ever! He will always tell me what to do, but he never pushes me because he chooses to believe that I will always do the right thing even when I've proven him wrong so many times.

"Hailey, honey!" My dad calls. Making my way through the end of the hallway, I take the stairs down to the kitchen where my father is trying not to spill his coffee as he attempts to clean off the counter. I chuckle.

"Yes, daddy?" I say softly, grabbing an apple off the counter.

"How many times do I have to tell you to clean the kitchen after you cook?" he huffs. I try to analyze his temper today, lately he's been really stressed and I wasn't really looking forward to an argument.

"Daaad" I whine. "I'm sorry, okay? But I was really tired and Josh came ove-

"Joshua, are you guys dating now?" He questions  while interrupting my perfectly good lie.

"You know I don't date teens" I laugh. "And he's also dating Kenzie, dad." I add.

"Yeah of course, " he smiles.  Definitely not in a bad mood.

Joshua is only 17 years old, but he's crazy smart and very attractive. He's a sophomore at UCLA while Kenzie and I just started last week as freshmen. Kenzie and I share the same birthday and age at that. We all grew up two houses away from each other and reside in LA, California.

"I need you to take Chloe to school for me, I'm going to be late for work, sweetheart". He says while walking away to get ready, I assumed.

I take a look at the clock. "It's  9:00 AM" I whisper. I prepare some coffee and run upstairs to wake Chloe up. Chloe, by the way, is 15 years old and she's a complete spoiled brat.

"Chloe" I yell. "Get the hell up, please. It's 9AM and I can't be late for school." I say. It takes her a good 30 minutes to get ready so I stepped out and went to get ready myself. I open my bedroom door and walk to the closet, I grab a pair of black jeans from Top Shop and a gray Muscle-Tee from Forever 21. I throw on some black converse and throw my hair up in a neat ponytail. I put mascara and gloss on, I look myself in the mirror pretty pleased with what I see. My phone starts to ring so I look at the screen and its a picture of Kenzie.

"Sup, bitch" I casually say.

"Hailey, oh my god, where the hell are you?" She squeals. Oh god. I know for a fact, she has something to spill.

"Spill it" I only say. She rants on about how Josh didn't call her last night that she is pissed because It was their six year anniversary yesterday and he had to go sign up for god knows what and he promised that he would call, but he didn't. Shocker. On the other hand, she had something that actually spiked my interest.

"So a new Senior, you say." I smirked.

"Yes, absolutely gorgeous Hails." She sighs. Don't worry, she only sighs cause she's dreamy.

"Alright then, what's his name, give me the details." I say while throwing myself on the bed.

"He's from Canada, apparently, and he's 22. That's all I got babe" She says. I look at the time once again and its 9: 25.

"Okay! I have to take Chloe to school, but I'll be there in an hour" I say back. "Thanks for letting me know about our new little friend.

"Oh boy, Okay, see you in a bit." She hangs up the phone.

I text Josh - You're in so much trouble, dude. - I grab my bag and make sure everything is in orderly fashion so I can finally get out. I take the stairs one more time down to the kitchen to get my booster for the day, my coffee, of course. I spot Chloe pouring some in her coffee cup.

"Dad will kill you" I say, her shoulders tense and her head jerks up. "If I tell" I finish and laugh.

"Jeez Hailey, why are you so annoying." she rolls her eyes at me and continues her deal.

"Yeah, whatever, pour me some while you're at it, I'll wait for you in the car and hurry up, please." I leave the house and debate on taking my dads Mercedes or just my Audi. Nope, I didn't want to hear it. So I took my baby. A couple of minutes later my sister decides to join me. I type Sun Valley High School in the GPS and make my way.

"So, how's High School?" I ask.

"Love it" she smiles. I look at her and wonder how naive she must be. She just started and she thinks its great.

"For now you do." I say. 15 minutes later I'm pulling up at the school and she runs out of the car with no intentions of saying goodbye. Ungrateful.

I finally get to UCLA and park my car. I make a run for my first class before it was too late. I cross campus and try not to waist any time when I hear my phone ring, It's Josh.

"Hey, dude" I answer.

"Hailey, I fucked up really bad" He says. By the tone of his voice I can tell he's drunk.

"It 10 AM Josh, why are you drinking." I say. I look at the signs and go left at the last building.

"I-I fucked up," He says again. "I-I cheated" He sighs.

"YOU WHAT." I shout. " What the hell, man, why would you tell me something like this now.

"I'm sorry, it just happened last night and I was drunk and stupid and I thought I c-could handle her" he adds slurring his words.

"Well apparently  you couldn't." I'm so mad. "Listen, Kenzie will forgive-

"I-I CAN'T -he emphasize's- tell her" he shouts interrupting me. Everybody seems to be doing that today.

"You have to" I say back. "Look, I'm late for class, we'll talk later." I hang up.

I keep wondering what am I going to tell Kenzie, I can't just not tell her, if I see her I'm most likely spilling the beans. I was almost there when I bump into some guy.

"I'm sorry." he says, still not paying attention after he just bumped into me. Rude much?

"Obviously not," I mumble. "I'm Hailey" I say. He finally removes his face from the inside of the backpack and acknowledges my presence.

"Hello Hailey," He flashes a beautiful set of pearly whites. I smile back. Awkwardly. "I'm Keiran, Kieran Girard." He adds in a foreign accent and a wink.

In that moment I knew, he was going to be trouble.
