A burnt down house..& an Orphanage

"Shut Up!" I yelled. Luna and Daisy were fighting over the last drop off water in the bottle, having trouble deciding who would get the mouth fool.

"But she wont let me drink it!" They both said together. they looked at each other, glaring.

"Give it" Holding out my hand. Luna placed it in my palm. I walked up to Faye, giving her the bottle.

"Drink it" raising her eyebrows, She lifted it to her mouth, and drank it all. I looked back at the two girl's, they looked angry. was it wrong to do that? pfft, no.

"I was gonna drink that" Luna pouted, Obviously upset.

As we walked down the road, I had a really bad gut feeling in my stomach. Something didn't feel right, everything seemed normal, even perfect.

A messenger came around the corner, caring his satchel on the side of his hip. "Alayni?"

"mhmm" I hummed "do you carry something of mine?" He walked up to me, so no one else could hear the conversation.

"You have another assassination contract" He whispered in a very low voice. he then took a step back and opened up his bag, grabbing two letters.

"This is the contract. and this one" He handed me the contract, then pointed to the other "Is something about a house, I'm not sure"

"thank you, John" I opened the first letter.

You know what we've spoken of in the past.

It is time. change is needed, something must be done, your house in Folkreath was recently burnt down, again.

I sighed. this was not the first time I had got a warning letter like this, and I could not ignore it any longer. I have no choice but to visit him. The delivery will have to be held back, being tremendously late.
The thing that pissed me off the most, was the fact that our house, second may I remind, was burnt down.

I grabbed out my contract, and started reading.

'Deer Alayni

My name is Aventus Aretino. I have heard that you do assassinations for having the required qualities or of a high standard.

but of course you have your rules.that being no children or because others just want mere pleasure. My contract is definitely not any of those two.

Her name is Grelod the kind. she works at the orphanage in Riften. Her name betrays her, as she is not kind but cruel and abusive. The children there do not deserve such treatment.

I looked up to see all three girls looking at me, waiting patiently for me to finish.

"where changing course, to Riften"

"oh, that's cool- wait, what?" Faye said, seeming flabbergasted.

"Who's it this time?" Luna said, knowing perfectly well that I did things like this for money.

"Grelod the kind, she runs the Orphanage in Riften" I said, getting ready to change directions.

"I heard about her, I was gonna adopt from there, but she said that adoptions weren't up. She's a total bitch face" daisy was sad and angry at the same time.

"I'm sorry, but I couldn't help" Faye spoke up, then pausing a moment "But notice that no one answered my question!" She half yelled.

"she dose assassination. for money" Luna said again "that also means were not going to solitude, dose it"

"No, C'mon."

It took two hours to arrive at Riften and we were just now approaching the gates.

The sky was beginning to turn dark, and you could obviously tell that we were all tiered.

The guards slowly opened the wooden door's, allowing us access to the city without paying a tax.

"that will be twenty Gold coins miss"

Never mind.

opening my little satchel, I grabbed out twenty coins and then handed them to the post guard

"do you know somewhere we could rest for the night?" I asked the him, leading us inside.

"Yea, The 'Bee & Barb' just over there" he pointed to a building that looked like it was in the center of the city.

"Thank you"

I gestured for the girls to follow me up to the wooden door.

As we opened the door, the Aurora of meed and well cooked food hit our nostrils. Instantly making mine and Luna's stomach growl with hunger.

"Could we please have one room with two beds, please?" I asked the female Agolian bar tender "with maybe some bread aswell?"

"If you've got the coin, sure. Pay up first" cocky bitch.

I smiled nun the less and gave her enough coins to pay for me and Luna.

"What about us?" Daisy asked

"Pay for yourself, your from a rich family, aren't you?" She huffed and walked off, dragging Faye behind her.

"Come on, let's sit down and eat" I escorted my little sister to the corner of the room. We sat down and waited for the waitress to come around with our meal.

We sat there in silence for a couple of seconds until Luna broke it "do you miss them?" She looked up "our parents?"

This was a very surprising topic that she had brought up, we never talked about our parents. Ever.

I shrugged my shoulders "Sometimes, it would make life a little easer" I looked at her purple eyes. She really did have her mothers eyes. "I miss the comfort a lot actually"

"Do you think we should tell them what we are? Or would that make every thing worse.." Luna looked so broken, you could easily tell this little girl was tired. Tired of lying to everyone close to her, tired of having to keep to herself.

"Let's stay normal for a little longer, yea?"

"Yea" she replied plainly "just for a little bit"

The waitress finally came around with two wooden plates in her hands. And on each plate had bread, pea's and mashed potato.

It had been a long time since me and Luna has had a normal meal like this. It felt good, finally able to eat something decent instead of the old stale roles they had to eat out on the road.

Once everyone's stomachs were stuffed with food, they all went to there separate rooms, getting ready for bed.

Luna and Alayni hopped into the two single beds that stood at each end of the room, laying there heads down to finally get some rest.

"Good night Luna" Alayni said as she started to drift of.

"See you in the mornin, sis" Luna followed Alayni's actions. There for, falling into a dark and dreamless sleep.
