As I walked back over to Justin I could feel my heart accelerating at an unhealthy pace. I didn't know why I was doing this when I knew full well that it was wrong.
My security guard... or 'Royal Protection Officer' as my mother insisted they be known as, had already shown clear discomfort for my very unconvincing explanation. When he had tried to do his job by following me and keeping a close eye, I managed to make a story up on the spot to ensure he kept his distance.
I knew there would be no chance of getting him to stay away completely but having a little bit of space was enough for now.
When I had approached the bar all but 10 minutes ago, Justin Bieber (that singer whose music I had become quite accustomed to due to the fact it was played pretty much everywhere you went) was stood glaring my way. To begin with I thought it was just because he was starstruck at being in reaching distance of The princess of England, something I seemed to get a lot from any person I passed or met. But I was soon torn from this thought when he had spoken to me as if I was something to prey on.
Growing up as a Royal had been difficult but at the same time it was all I knew. From the day I was born I was center of attention to the public eye, joining the world famous family who ruled the UK. I had always tried my hardest to try and live a normal life as possible, with the help of my father but that was never easy. Out of my whole family he was the only one who understood, he was the only one who knew how important it was for me to live out my young adulthood and not live like a 50 year old women at just the age of 21.
However, my mother was quite the opposite, most likely because just like me, she was born into the royal family. She had grown up not knowing anything different but to carry out Royal tasks alongside her family. The only normal thing in her life was my father. When they had met he had no royal status whatsoever, he was just a normal boy making his way through University, studying to get a degree and do something with his life. However he ended up marrying my mother and becoming a prince; something I definitely do not believe he ever imagined happening.
"Hello" I smiled as I approached Justin, who was smirking back at me, giving me a look that made me feel like prey and a little uncomfortable.
"Hi" He nodded, taking my hand and pulling me beside him at the bar. "So, how about that drink?"
I hummed to myself, tapping my fingers on the bar nervously debating whether or not this was the right thing to do. I didn't have to look to know that my security, Felix, had his eyes practically burning through my skull. He knew not only was I putting myself at risk of getting in serious trouble but him too if he didn't prevent it from happening.
Regardless of that, I continued anyway, nodding to Justin's offer as he leaned over ordering two. The barman bowed down while passing me mine out of curtsy to a Royal, which I smiled back at just as politely.
"Thank you"
"I believe we never introduced ourselves" I posed turning to Justin.
"You're right." He laughed. "But do you really think we need to?"
Unknown to me he was only referring to himself, expecting me to know exactly who he was.
"I guess not" I smiled back.
"So what's your name?" He asked, leaving me stood a little taken back by the question. First of all, I was sure we had just made clear that there was no need for introductions considering we knew full well who one another was, and secondly, even if that's not what he had meant... surely he knew who I was; any idiot knew who I was.
"Lilianna" I responded, leaving out my title to test the waters a bit, I was suddenly coming to terms with the fact that maybe he was oblivious of my status. I mean, he lived a pretty hectic life so knowing the Royal family by face may not have been on top of his agenda.
"Nice name" He remarked confirming my thoughts. "Drink up"
I looked at him warily, trying to figure this out in my head. I could probably play this well and use it to my benefit. I mean, he didn't have a clue who I was... something I had longed for my whole life; to just meet someone who I could just spend some time with and act completely normal. Now was my chance, so I was going to take it.
From there, Justin and I went through drink after drink, ordering more when a glass was near to empty. I had ended up urging him around the back area to stay well clear of my parents in case they caught sight of me. Even though it wasn't legal anymore I was pretty sure my mother would have me beheaded if she saw how I was behaving.
"See, it's fun to let loose once in a while" Justin slurred, his hand around my waist pulling me closer to him.
"Mm I guess so" I mumbled back, having to really think carefully about the sentence I was producing considering it was much more of hassle with all of this alcohol in my body.
"I think we should dance" He pressed on, leaning his head closer to mine before placing a kiss to the corner of my lips.
If I was sober right now I would have forced him straight off of me and called security to get him arrested. Kissing, making out or having any kind of a relationship with an un-royal was severely frowned upon as you and the whole family would get scrutinised for it, just like when my mother got with my father..
"Let's just stay here" I stuttered, lacking my usual poise and control while grabbing onto Justin's tie and pulling him closer to me. He didn't seem to have any objections to this as he pushed me up against one of the adjoining walls and attached his lips to mine. I continued to kiss him back, lifting my hands up so they roamed through his blonde hair, pulling at the ends as he urged our kiss further.
As I began to get flustered, Justin moved his head down pecking at my jaw and slowly making his way to my neck as he began to place open mouth kisses to each and every spot. I leaned my head to the side, giving him more access as he continued to place me in a fantasy world far away from my own.
"Let's go to your room" He proposed quietly into my ear before removing himself from me and tugging at my hand. Sudden conflicting thoughts ran through my head on whether this was a good idea or not.
I had already passed so many boundaries I shouldn't have so just one more wouldn't harm surely?
I nodded my head, trying to straighten myself slightly to keep the well presented posture I carried with me on a day to day basis, only for it to crash and burn as I stumbled side ways into Justin's grip causing him to laugh.
"I got cha" He breathed, holding me closer and stroking my waist lightly.
I didn't know what I was doing but even in my non-sober state, I knew it was wrong. I was a Princess and this sort of behaviour could cause absolute chaos for my whole entire family if it got out.
