My face stared with sleep at the huge building in front of me. I could feel the weight of my really tired bones as I walked towards it. First day of school, supposedly the great day in which you can start over again with who you wanna be and meet again with your friends. To me, and I'm sure that to many more, it was nothing. I haven't sleep much during summer as it was expected, my Internet and my drawing and writing programs enslaved me consuming all those hours I should have saved for this day. But that didn't mattered now, I could survive without another night of awakening.

But this day was different, because this was a new building. No, I wasn't new, I still had many of the same teachers and the same dumb classmates, we just moved to the building beside. Aparently classes weren't enough although we are less than 20 per class.

I walked, still sleepy, towards a big wall which said where was each class located. Mine was on the fourth floor, almost at the top of the building. "Yay" I thought to myself "First day of school spending it in going up the stairs". Yeah, I wasn't being very positive, actually my attitude was pretty bad, being tired was not my thing, or anybody's thing I guess?

When I reached the fourth floor, the colours of the green and blue reached me eyes. The lockers where placed in order and had a silver colour. There we several classes in that floor. I walked towards mine. There was a large window which showed the street and all the chairs were prepared in order. There were a few other classmates in there: Two were watching the street through the window and the other one was sleeping. Sleeping sounded tempting to me but I decided not to.

"Hi" the sleepy one said, raising his head. His unkempt morning hair and his lost look make me recognize him as the other two turn around to look at me. His name was Mike and was known as a class clown together with his friends.

"Hi" I replied, to him and to the other two. Yeah, we were tired, but that didn't meant we were going to be rude or something like that.

A few minutes later, most of the year was here, and I was waiting for my best friend to come. While waiting, I choose a place near a big window so sit. I closely examined all my classmates. They haven't change much, same groups, same faces, and now most of us were woken up. My eyes turned towards the door, where a group of older students where discussing. They weren't too old though, around one or two years. My eyes filled with curiosity, they all seemed so different. The shortest of the three had a low ponytail and her facial expression was like mines when I woke up today. Her piercing eyes were looking directly at the tall girl in front, who seemed to be used and comfortable with that behavior of hers, as she talked.

This girl on the contrary, seemed to be very enthusiastic by the movement of her hands while talking, her hazel eyes seem to be focused in the space between that first girl and the boy, and her face was truly awaken. Her brown hair was quite long and was tied in a quick ponytail.

The boy who was with them had brown hair like the tall girl, they look related in some way, he looked like a middle version of the two girls: he was quiet yet smiling, hearing attentive what the tall girl was saying, crossing his arms.

I wasn't concentrated in what they were wearing, it was their expressions the ones that caught my attention, cheerful, calmed, serious. Yet, they all seemed to have a good time for being the first day. At least they had until a group of their age appeared, there is when their expression changed into a awkward one, the eyes of those three were unreadable, it was clear they were thinking something but it was unpredictable what it was. They exchanged looks and went away. In that same moment I see my friend come inside the classroom. Her curly ginger hair was tied in a neat ponytail. Yeah, nobody seemed to be quite original with hairstyles in my school, unless you have short hair, you must tied it in some way.

"Hey!" I said waving my hand like an idiot. Sometimes I forget there are people in this place. She came as I helped her to install in her new seat. Once that was done she asked the question.

"Wanna go with the rest of the girls?"

Don't get me wrong, I like some of the girls there, we are not enemies or anything, it's just her talking subjects are boring to me. Not that I was an interesting person either.

"Yeah, ok" I said and sighed. We walked towards the group of girls when a tall and young adult appeared. He looked serious and professional. With a smile, he welcomed us and told us to go to a hall for a welcome speech. As we walked downstairs I caught sight of those three students I saw before, I guess that if it's a welcome speech all are coming.

As we walked downstairs, the shouting of the older kids celebrating it's last year could be heard. I must admit, that cheered my mood a bit, at least someone was being positive to others and tried to welcome cosily the younger ones.

The welcome speech was pretty boring...and predictable. They always talked about the same stuff and nobody was paying much attention. I searched for those mysterious kids through the crowd. Nothing. But that wasn't possible. I looked again and again and no, they weren't there, where it's year is supposed to be sitting. I looked through the other years, nothing. Where could they have gone? "Go and look where they are". That thinking crossed my head and I immediately dismissed it. Why would I want to know? If they weren't here it's probable they will be in problems later.

In that moment the assembly finished and everyone stand up clapping, walking towards their classes. Oh yay classes, I couldn't wait for them in the most ironic way. This had two be a joke because at the end of the day I had already history homework and two revision exams for next week. What the hell? I just prepared myself to go home after all that school work was given. Of course, I was going to procrastinate and leave everything to the last minute, that was simply my way of studding.

As I waited for my parents to come (I was so independed, in a sarcastic way of course) I stand beside a group of boys of in my class who where talking about the latest movie. I've always been interested in cinema so I sort of heard it's conversation. I just couldn't help it. It was actually a cool debate. I couldn't hear which movie they were talking about but they were comparing and discussing about the deaths between the book and the movie. That made me remember that all my favourite characters die in my TV shows, movies and books so I just walked away from them.

In that moment, without realizing, I fall after bumping myself with someone else. I stood up and saw a girl with short auburn hair. She was taller than me, like everybody, but seemed to have more innocence and youth in her eyes. I've never seen her before and she was smiling in a silly way. Behind her I could see those three kids and some other strangers. I guess they were their friends.

"I umm...sorry" I said nerviously. Her face seemed to tense for a little moment but smiled again.

"It's ok" she replied as she run where her friends were. The three kids that go to my school stared at me for a second and then went back to it's thing. It felt awkward, I must admit. I wanted to stopped them and start talking, they really seemed interesting people to know and I wanted to meet them, but my shyness took control over me, again, and I just stayed quiet, being afraid of making them feel uncomfortable with my presence, until the honking of my parents car sounded and I ran towards it.
