Chapter 8: Introducing Reagan Alana

Taylor's POV
*6 hours later*
After 6 hours of gruesome pain and labor my precious Regan Alana was born. I couldn't be happier with her. She's so perfect. Amaya had gone home with my mom because it was late. She's coming back later. Taylor is asleep on the chair and Reagan is with the nurses. They had to run tests on her and check her weight. I have been resting.

*2 hours later*
I had fallen asleep and just woke up when I saw Taylor holding Reagan and my mom was here with Amaya. My sweet 5 year old. I said "Maya, come here babygirl. Mommy wants a hug." She ran over to me and I lifted her on my bed and she hugged me. I missed her. Taylor, who was still holding Reagan asked Amaya if she wanted to hold Reagan. Amaya looked scared. I said "Babygirl, its okay. You can hold her." She nodded and said "Okay mommy, but what if she doesn't like me?" I saw tears forming in my daughters eyes. I said "Honey, Reagan is going to love you. Just like mommy and daddy." I wiped her tears and she said "Can I hold her now?" I said yes. Taylor gave Reagan to me and I helped Amaya hold her. It was a precious moment. Taylor took a picture and I smiled. The nurse came in and said Reagan was 7 lbs 13 oz and 20 inches long. She was born at 2:13 pm on May 13, 2005. Amaya was similar when she was born. But, that's another story. I saw Reagan start to get fussy. I started to sing "Never Grow Up" (song above) because that's what I did with Amaya when she was fussy. Amaya started to sing with me and my heart melted. She was already such a good big sister. I love it.
